My mother decided to downsize after 35 years and change city for better weather, and to be closer with us. She was sick at the time so I did the declutter and decided everything. She now has 5% of the books she had, and I kept all the photos and sentimental items that could fit in 3 boxes. Why 3 boxes? Because that is what can fit in a car if she will ever move again. It took 3 months and lots of colourful post it note: yellow for trash, pink for "keep", green for "donate", orange for "gift to family and friends". You stick the post it note once and will not change your mind ❤you
Well my two sons and daughter all left home have children of their own but they all live near we’ve not downsize But I can understand how thrilling to look at your stuff and only keep must haves. While going on your adventure 😙
We lost our home to a fire in December 2023. Spent several months living with relatives while sorting out insurance and looking for house to buy. We've been in new house since last fall. I have been trying to be very mindful of what I bring in. But now that we've lived here awhile I'm ready to reorganize somethings.
I’m seeing some comments about “what about family gatherings, please think of your kids” and as kind as those sentiments are, I would love to chime in as a child of parents who are in their retiree years. We don’t care what house they live in. We don’t want them to live in a house for us to maybe one day live in-we want them to love their lives and have fun! ❤❤
Completely agree! My parents frequently make reference to us (grown children) in their decision-making and I try to convince them to make decisions for themselves and use their current resources for their current lives, not with the thought of us in the back of their minds all the time. I imagine it’s difficult to break out of the parent-as-provider role, but most well-adjusted grown children would far rather see their parents enjoy the fruits of their labor and live with the freedom they deserve after sacrificing so much during our childhood.
You can always get your family members a hotel room for family gatherings, which is always the most comfortable. Their own space, their own bathroom...
Lost my husband last November and my mom before him, the kids say I should downsize. That’s not for me, I’m comfortable here. Instead of moving, I’ve asked my brothers widow to move in since she is struggling.
That is a great idea. You will not be living alone plus you’ll be helping her. That is my plan as I get older. I have four living siblings and two of them never married or had children. My plan is that we live in my parents home. It has six bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths so everyone would have their own room. We grew up together snd will grow old together.
It's always different when you life close fulltime... have a trial period for a few months before she gives up her own home, because if it doesn't work out, she needs somewhere to go back to.... you have to give up rooms to her to have her own space (usually a bedroom and the spare room as her own lounge) shared kitchen. Work out bills, how much she will have to pay towards all bills.. start with rules and write them down so there's no misunderstanding
Hi Diane. Don’t know if you will see this, but want you to know that I and many here are sending you love as you go through the aftermath of your mom’s passing. I’m sure returning to videos is the last thing you need to deal with as you try to cope with it all. But please know you are VERY missed. If you decide to come back we will all be thrilled. Wishing you healing and peace.
We got rid of almost everything last May, sold the house, and drove across the US to a brand new state. We downsized to a 1500 square foot condo on the water and we LOVE it! It’s our new adventure! People think we’re crazy but we are so free now! Go for your next chapter, ❤I know you’ll love it too!
Aw Diane, you make me (33 year old first time mom) so emotional. You've been by my side since 2018 and it's such a blessing in my life not only to have you to look up to for your wisdom but also for your excitement towards new things (and new phases) in life! How lucky we are to have you as a role model! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and making me more excited for my own life too!😊
I have no plans to move, but I think I will join you in a moving declutter! It is a great way to look at things: "Do I love this enough to pack, move and unpack this?"
How wonderful! Oh the thrill of new beginnings! I’ve moved so many times in my life-sometimes every year. I LOVE it! Now, at 77, I have a 1000sq foot cottage hidden away on my daughter’s property. I moved in 3 years ago and it is a dream location. But if you told me tomorrow that I had to go, I’d jump up and start packing 😂. I just love starting over. New routines, new places to experience…🎉 I can relate to your “on the edge” feeling..the stomach flutter that gets your brain spinning and the rush of energy to just do it already! Good for you! We are all going to be dead a long time….make the most of this short little moment we have! Sparkle on!
My husband and I downsized exactly one year ago this month from a 4500 sq ft house that we had lived in for 23 years and moved to an apartment in our local town that had 1400 sq ft. We sold our home in four days and we had to be out in 16 days. It about killed me, because we had not even begun to downsize! I found a therapist and an organizing coach who helped me through the process. We gave away truckloads to our two children, nieces and nephews. After we moved in, it took three months to sort through all of the boxes we moved that were unnecessary. Finally settled in and we love our apartment and could not be happier about our decision. However, it was an arduous process that I wasn’t ready for and wish I had prepared ahead of time. It is crazy how much stuff we let go, sold some, and gave away most! Blessings to you on this journey! You will love the decision after you are settled.
I have several books (ever some series of 3 or 4 books) I absolutely love, and when I feel fedup with things, I read them all again (ive read one set 5 times so far), I love to be swept up in the fantasy, the good guys win and it has a happy ending, life is so rarely like that, the news is depressing, little girls getting murdered at a dance class in UK, so I have books I'd never part with... I love them.❤
I was 48 when we moved from a five acre orchard to an apartment in town. I loved it! It felt like when husband and I first started out - just us, with few responsibilities and both able to walk to work. After work, our free time really was free. Since we weren’t tied down and owned few things, our life completely opened up to new adventures that wouldn’t have been possible tied down to a house. That was 20 years ago and we’re living a completely unexpected life.
Sending encouragement and love during this season. I miss your videos and check back every few days for any postings and say a quick prayer for you and your family. It is so good you have been able to be with your mum. As my youngest heads off to university this month I am looking forward to your future empty nest decluttering content. Take care ❤
Sorry to hear about you Mum. My Mom passed away in May, I still just want to pick up the phone and call her. Enjoy your time with her. ❤️ Have a lovely Birthday! ❤🎉
How exciting, making steps for your new chapter!!!🎉🎉 I'm sorry your mom's not doing well; when our parents are elderly it is bittersweet. I lifted a quick prayer for your new chapter and your mom
Welcome to the newest phase of life! I’ve found it to be the best one ever. Time for me; money to do whatever we want; worldliness to guide my choices and freedom to live my best life ever!
My husband passed away four years ago and I moved into a condo and downsized so many things. I now only keep the things I truly love. Best of luck on your journey.
Our home of 32 years is 1,400 square feet, so it was easy to decide just to stay put. And now our grandchildren get to spend nights in their parent’s old bedrooms, which is special for us all. We love our deep roots, but I understand why others may want to escape the responsibilities of home ownership. Enjoy the adventure!
Oh, Diane! Thank you for your beautiful enthusiasm!! I turned 57 a few days ago, and my youngest will move out next month. I am decluttering with a mind to let go...🎉🎉🎉rah, rah, rah!!!
Feel so privileged to be included in the excitement of this new phase in your life Diane. I am sure many of your "followers" will feel the same, although rather than "followers" it feels more like we are all good friends. Thank you again.
I am so happy for you that you are looking at this with excitement! I am excited with you. When you only keep the best of your best, the new home ends up still your home but fresh and even more beautiful! ❤🎉
Just wanted to drop a note of encouragement and support to you during this time. You have been such an inspiration to me! Prayers for you and your family.
Big moves can be fun, and hard. We downsized from 2000 sf to 950! It was a big adjustment, but we got creative with storage solutions. We are seriously downsizing again because we are in our "Youth of our Senior Years" - Our lives are made up of 3rds. 1 - 30 (Youth), 31-59 (Middle Age) 60-90 (old age) - those thirds are divided again... i.e. 60 - 70, the youth of your senior years... 71 - 80 (middle age of your senior years), and 81 - 90 is your senior years of your senior years. You are now in your "senior years, of middle age" - it is a very freeing, yet a bit scary... Happy Birthday Diane! Marlene in Canada.
Love the way you have divided your senior years! Hubby and I are in the same age bracket as you! Have some big decisions to make about what our next season of life will look like! But, we're optimistic and eager to make plans for whatever that might be!😎🇺🇸
Your energy is beautiful. I am also on the verge of changes in my living situation. I'll be living on my own soon as my kids are looking for their own place. It has not felt exciting to me . I'm going to try to embrace it in a new way and find excitement in the changes.
Totally with you Diane. I am 10 years older than you but running a successful business from the huge historic house which we have loved for over 20 years. But - it is largely empty of clobber, although colourful and personal, and we enjoy the space and the dimensions of our beautiful home. We will move when we need to but that is not quite yet. I have been a minimalist for as long as I can remember but one can always have less. To be a minimalist frees the mind to enjoy the important things: family, fulfilling work, enjoying life. Enjoy your move, one should always move before one has to / is forced to.
Enjoy this next phase. We moved after 53 years in the same city and moved 650 miles away to the coast. We decluttered and decluttered but the house we moved to was only 200 Square feet smaller.(1 bedroom) We thought we would have a lot of family and visitors since we are at the beach. Visitors have the entire upstairs. We moved too much furniture, but we really didn't have the money to replace it all. So once we moved we decluttered and decluttered more. Every month I take a box to the thrift store. I was overwhelmed. Anyway, Your vlog has helped me out so much! I was concerned I wouldn't meet new people but I have met great people and trying new things. Enjoy!
So excited for you Diane, was worried you were leaving TH-cam for a moment! Have been missing your regular videos. 😔 think I may go back and rematch some old ones! ❤
Hi Diane, I follow you 4 years. Thank you for your helpful video’s. They give me structure. Which I need as a Dutch mom of almost 4 and building a new home. I love to see how you organized your life. You are a rol model for me 😊 Have a nice Sunday. Kind regards D
Happy Birthday, Diane! I’m a very recent widow, and definitely understanding the feeling of “jumping off a cliff” as I try to decide where I want to live and designing my new life. I’ve been “decluttering” for several years now, but like you, really need to jump into the deep end of the pool now and REALLY downsize. I look forward to you sharing your insights and process.
My husband and I recently moved out of our 40+ year suburban home and moved out to the country. We downsized the square footage of the home but upsized the property to 5 acres. Less time cleaning, more time outdoors! We’ve now got a huge garden, some apple trees and chickens - we love it! I say go where your heart and the good Lord leads you, and you’ll find happiness and contentment! Looking forward to following you on the next phase of your journey.
Hi Diane, I can totally relate. Letting go of things always means letting go of responsibilities. 💫Happy birthday to you! 🎉🥂 Thank you for being our inspiration and cheerleader 🙌
This is exciting! I’m happy for your next adventure. A relative died unexpectedly and I helped clear her belongings. It was quite a wake up call for me. I am Swedish death cleaning and ensuring all our end of life documents are easily accessible and in proper order.
Prayers for your Mom 🙏🏼 I’ve been decluttering on a regular basis for years and a few years ago I kicked it up notch to be more ruthless because we want to downsize from our 2400 square foot two story home to about a 1400 square foot one story home. I thought that we would need to get rid of furniture and not much else because of the decluttering I’ve done. Well, we have been looking at houses/condos for the past few months to get an idea of what we want. My big “wake up call” is that it’s not just about the furniture but the reality of much less storage in kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms so now I need to identify what must stay and what else can go. It’s been very freeing to already living with less and I look forward to a much simpler life 😊
Hi Diane! In exactly the same stage! Not moving for a few years but I am trying to get hubby to declutter. When he says he wants to keep something I am now saying to him - enough to pack it into a box, pay a removal company to move it, unpack Aitcheson’s and find a home for it! It’s amazing how often we then decide to declutter it instead! It’s as you say, when you have the space it’s too easy to keep everything! I also don’t want to spend all my remaining time in this life cleaning, tidying and maintaining a home. Your video is so encouraging and you are so upbeat - it’s wonderful! I also feel I’m on a cliff but I am much more afraid of what is on the other side. Am excited to follow along! Have a great summer! Xxx
Praying for you and your family. Thank u for sharing about your mum My mother passed in late Feb and father a month ago. I am so thankful for our many years together and I miss their presence.
Very inspiring! We have lived in a small home with our children for over 25 years. It's a tight fit and there are things that must go! Several children still at home--everyone is bigger. We need to keep go of stuff for younger children.
Sounds wonderful. You are having a real message from the universe. The kids are raised, now time for you and hubs to enter a new season. Too many people wait too long to do what you are planning. Go and be free to enjoy your life. Less is definitely more, Diane. Hugs judy
That is great Diane! Reminds me of how I felt in 2009 when I read 'you really don't need all that crap, just get rid of it' when I was pregnant with my second child and completely overwhelmed by the amount of yes, crap that came out of our old house after we had moved to a pristine, new home. I was decluttering all the time after that had landed! Loved it😊! Clearing out the dishwasher? Removing useless cups from the cupboards. Brushing teeth? Going through my make up. Putting away laundry? Removing all the unworn clothing from the closet. It gave so much energy and good vibrations and I kept finding more and more I did not need at all! So many things were set in motion because of that, it completely changed our life for the better. There is so much freedom in letting go and only keeping the stuff that truly adds value! Wish you all the best in this new chapter :)
I'm really happy for you Diane, you sound so excited about moving 😊 I'm really looking forward to seeing all the decluttering you'll be doing, best wishes to your mum too ❤️
One of the commenters said when you only keep the best of your best your new home ends up being your home only shiny but familiar ( or something to that effect ) just so so true ! Absolutely brilliant .
I am right there with on that launching feeling. We have just hired a new manager for our farm and decided to move closer to the city for our kids schooling. I have spent the last two weeks stalking real estate pages and job opportunities. Moving from a rural area where options are limited especially for someone with my skill set to a place where I get to choose what type of house we live in, what suburb, what jobs I could apply for to retrain or study for an entirely new skill set. It feels like the whole world just opened up for me. I have been on a big Declutter kick since January because a move has been on the table for a while. First it was in a couple of years, then in March it was to another property in a different town, which is more of a “you get what you get and you don’t get upset” proposition, then it was just down the road but to a much much smaller house in the middle of nowhere, so I have run the gamut at this point. In all my decluttering though what has stood out is that the systems and efforts I have put in over the years are working. We like and use the things we have chosen to keep and the things that are going have served their purpose. I know how to organise to fit the space I have and I am well rehearsed in moving on things that no longer fit. I am feeling empowered and hopeful and like I am launching into a season in which I am going to flourish. And it feels so, so good 😊
All month I have been sending loving thoughts and prayers your way as you go through the grieving process. I hope family time in South Korea is restful and soothing for you. My mother passed 26 years ago and I still miss her. Just know that your optimism and cheerfulness have been a blessing to me and to so many others. We miss your online presence but understand that posting "for us" is a very low priority right now and maybe for the foreseeable future. You have left us with a wonderful collection of advise and good cheer and I find myself watching old videos often. If you do decide to return to TH-cam, there will be a worldwide cheer! Personally, I was really looking forward to seeing what a 2/3 of your possessions declutter would look like, as a drastic downsize is probably in my future, too. Nerveless, I continue to set my timer and chip away at my stuff, slowly and steadily. Thanks so much for all you have given me and your followers. You are an "influencer" who has had a selfless and positive influence on so many! God bless you!
There is nothing like rush of excitement when you reach a new chapter in life and realize all the opportunities that come with it! Wishing you a Happy Birthday!!!
I am really looking forward to your next phase of decluttering. This is exactly where we are in life. Due to the real estate market in the US, the plan has been pushed out indefinitely at the moment but one day, I’d like to move to something at least half the size of what we have now (4200 sq. ft.) One of the most helpful things you do on your decluttering videos that few others do is talk through your reasoning. My reasons may be different for letting something go or keeping it but hearing your thought process is so helpful!! I’ve been decluttering & working on FL along with you for a few years now. My house IS better. Because of what I was able to do, I had the ability and space to move my parents in during the last 2 years of their lives. It was a tough time and they passed within 8 mos of each other, Mom first, then Dad, but I treasure the time I had with them. If I hadn’t started FL & decluttering with you 2 years before, I’m not sure I would‘ve been able to bring them here. We packed up & sold their home & it happened quickly - while it filled up my home again, I had the room available to make it an option for them. It eased their minds tremendously. I thank you for all that. ❤ I’m also through most of the boxes & things from their house. My decluttering muscles are tired. With our own move pushed back now, I‘ve lost the motivation & seem to have settled into „I have the room, it can stay where it is, I still have time, I’ve done a lot already….“ I’d like to start preparing for our next chapter again with a new mindset. 🎉 Prayers to your Mum too. It’s hard watching parents age. 😢
Diane ! I remember you from 13 yrs ago ! Talking about motherhood wow how things have changed ! I have a 10 yr old daughter now but you have helped every stage of life from being a new wife to military life to now getting ready for retirement with my pre teen ! Thank you and all the love and blessings to you ❤
Hugs to you. Our oldest is moving to Dublin this fall & our youngest just graduated high school. I wasn't sure what to do with myself, so I opened a bookshop and am back to writing again. It has been nice getting to know myself again. xx
I’ve had two major changes in my life. First, when my husband and I became empty nesters and moved from our 3500 square foot home on half an acre to a 2000 square foot high rise condo. We ll worth all the downsizing/decluttering (It took us 5 years - I wish I had known to do it like you have been doing it, consistently over the years). The next time, was when I got a job in Singapore and we moved there - again another major declutter. We rented out our condo and returned 4 years later. We are currently trying to do another major declutter and wish to move to somewhere about 1/2 the size of our current home. Our needs and desires change over time - the older I get the less I want to take care of things and want to experience life! Good luck on finding what you want for your next home! 😊💕
We sold our family home of 621m2 in 2022, moved to our investment unit of 99m2 whilst we built our 'just for us empty nesters' home of 214m2. So freeing, so wonderful to celebrate out new season of life every single day. We've been here 9months now and love our home and life and new neighbourhood! We're both 58. I struggled with empty nesting in the original family home, the reminders, the empty rooms and granny flat- it was hard. When you know, you know. A fresh start is so exhilarating. Best wishes for a smooth transition!
My hubby & I have been retired since 2011 - downsized from 1500 sqft to a 36' motorhome & truck to tow behind (down to 200 sqft!). We have learned that we don't need sooo much stuff. Come up to 2022, we purchased a final home to live in after 11 years of traveling the US. We then up sized to just 1000 sqft - only purchased the furniture & lamps,... To fit our new space (since everything was sold or given away 11+ yrs ago) Enjoy your new phase of life & the freedom of less stuff!🎉
I shall be watching this space with interest but fear it might come too late for me!! I am downsizing after the death of my husband of 38 years last year. We have a very large house with tons of built in storage and large rooms - it was our dream home but isn't half as much fun now I'm on my own. I spotted an opportunity to buy a MUCH smaller house two doors down and am panicking about how much furniture and stuff generally I will have to get rid of/sell. I hope to exchange contracts in the next few weeks so have been taking things out bit by bit without dismantling my home just yet. It will be a new chapter that I never thought I'd have to experience just yet but I must embrace it and carry on. Love from Diane in Dorset xx
We downsized nearly two years ago now and I loved the major declutterring. I watched all your videos which really helped so that when we moved we only had what we needed. It’s a time of enormous growth - enjoy the journey.
WOW, DIANE! This is it! I'm 72 now and have imagined moving from our house to a smaller place and with that in mind, I have a mental list of the things that will come with us. In the meantime, the decluttering continues as it has for OVER 10 YEARS NOW! There's ALWAYS something to declutter, every week for 10 years. I'm so glad I started when I did.
I’m thrilled for you as you step into your next great adventure! Sending my best wishes to your mom, and wishing you a very happy birthday. 🎉 You’ve got this!
I can feel your energy, Diane! You seem like you have shed your skin - a time for renewal! I am staring at the many boxes of sentimental items I've packed away ahead of some work on the house. It's time I was brave!!! Happy birthday for tomorrow, with many happy returns. X
I feel like you - need smaller... except that a garden is my haven and also my hub built our house. Having grandchildren has helped fill it. 🙂 Enjoy your new journey!
As a young follower I am in the beginning stages of having a family, however I learn so much from you! It is wonderful to see what the next stage is after having children.
Yay for you, Diane! We are in very different stages of life right now, but I’m trying to remember your principles NOW when I’m raising my family (buying less stuff, being intentional about what we bring into our home) so that I have less to declutter later. We do have a new for our family experience coming up this fall and I’m mixed with both excitement and nerves. New adventures can be fun, though, and you’re helping me look in the bright side of things! Thanks, as always, for your encouragement and enthusiasm!! 🎉
Many years ago I lived in a beautiful apartment near the town centre but I really missed an outside space even to drink my early morning coffee. Having built a new house during the pandemic, I declutterred so so much to he extent that my new home looked empty and almost soulless but I think I’m finding the right balance now. Good luck.
My husband and I sold our suburban home of 20 years and moved to the city(chicago) in 2017. Over the next 3 1/2 years we moved 4 times for all different apartment reasons. Every time we moved more things were decluttered. We had so much fun in the city until the pandemic. Living in a rental felt unsettling to me. Last year we bought a house in a walkable suburb west of the city. I am very aware of the increase in space but also determined not to just fill it. It’s really exciting to try new things and it’s also exciting to feel like you are home. Thanks for all the motivation and happy birthday!
Just when I thought I couldn’t love you more!!!! Well done Diane, this is an amazing move!!! It’s so true though, take the things you know to be useful or beautiful! X
You are my favorite TH-camr. I have missed you. Hope you had a lovely Birthday. Hope to see your TH-cams soon. It is exciting to hear you talk about your next chapter. I need to do some major decluttering, also. I plan to declutter along with you.
Happy birthday dear Diane! All the best for you and your family! I'll forever be thankful for your seemingly endless generosity and your bright attitude! ❤️
Happy Birthday! The things you talk about really resonate with people who are looking to the next stages in life. After vacation time it's back to decluttering again. So many things taking up space that we really haven't used in 10 years. Some of them were gifts, but they aren't adding any value. One tip about using plastic boxes as you prepare to move: they can shatter. Maybe not so risky if you are taking the boxes in a car yourself.... but we were told not to use them and some did shatter in a long haul move. Safe travels!
Looking forward to the next chapter in my life! Have you had any major changes, what helped you move forward? 👋🏼😍
You stick the post it note once and will not change your mind ❤you
@@vanessaandreatta9098 wonderful job
Both owned and rented. We will buy an apartment (as we already did for both of our kids).
Well my two sons and daughter all left home have children of their own but they all live near we’ve not downsize
But I can understand how thrilling to look at your stuff and only keep must haves. While going on your adventure 😙
We lost our home to a fire in December 2023. Spent several months living with relatives while sorting out insurance and looking for house to buy. We've been in new house since last fall. Also, Diane is an adult and can make her own decisions, she doesn't need Internet people trying to tell her what to do 🙃
You can always get your family members a hotel room for family gatherings, which is always the most comfortable. Their own space, their own bathroom...
Yes. And maybe the adult children could take turns hosting family gatherings!
Lost my husband last November and my mom before him, the kids say I should downsize. That’s not for me, I’m comfortable here. Instead of moving, I’ve asked my brothers widow to move in since she is struggling.
What a great way to bless your family.
I could see myself doing the same with either sister-in-law as they are lovely people.
This is so touching and inspiring. I love my sister-in-laws. 💕
Had not heard about her mom. 🥺
Prayers being sent your way, Diane .❤️
❤❤❤❤I am so sorry for your loss ❤ As always, I thank you for sharing and being a truly WONDERFUL inspiration to so many
We got rid of almost everything last May, sold the house, and drove across the US to a brand new state.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and making me more excited for my own life too!😊
I got emotional, too!! ❤ 40 here, kids ages 18, 15 & 13
This is what I was really trying to say in my long "rant" in the main comments section! 😀😀😀
Missing you and praying all is well with you, your family and your Mom.
I have no plans to move, but I think I will join you in a moving declutter! It is a great way to look at things: "Do I love this enough to pack, move and unpack this?"
Yes! We just moved into our house 2 years ago but I was thinking the exact same thing!
Many prayers for your dear mom and for you. Miss your videos. You are my favorite TH-camr ❤️
I miss her so much too. Watching old videos to keep the motivation going.
Do you know where Diane is now a days? I haven't seen any videos from her in a long time.

New routines, new places to experience…🎉
I can relate to your “on the edge” feeling..the stomach flutter that gets your brain spinning and the rush of energy to just do it already!
Good for you! We are all going to be dead a long time….make the most of this short little moment we have! Sparkle on!
Great way to look at it, because it is so true.
Take care ❤
You are very missed Diane. Sending prayers that you and your family are all ok.
Sorry to hear about you Mum. My Mom passed away in May, I still just want to pick up the phone and call her. Enjoy your time with her. ❤️
Have a lovely Birthday! ❤🎉
How exciting, making steps for your new chapter!!!🎉🎉
I'm sorry your mom's not doing well; when our parents are elderly it is bittersweet.
I lifted a quick prayer for your new chapter and your mom
I’ve just read your post about your dear Mum. Sending love and support for you at this difficult time xxx
Happy Birthday; Happy FLYing; Happy Decluttering; Happy New Adventures❣️❣️❣️
I'm so sorry to hear about your dear mom. Mine isn't doing well either. 😢😢😢
Thank you for the hug. Will really miss you over the next few weeks. Have a lovely time away. 🎉🎉🎉
Miss you, Diane!
Thinking of you, Diane!!! I hope you well!!❤️
Have a great day tomorrow! 🥳 All the best for your mum 🏴
Just wanted to drop a note of encouragement and support to you during this time. You have been such an inspiration to me! Prayers for you and your family.
Sending love and prayers, Diane.
I lost my cleaning service so I’m going to try FlyLady instead of hiring another company.
Happy Happy Birthday Diane 🎉❤🎂❤🍦❤🥂❤✨️❤ Celebrate yourself bc you emanate such joy, caring, and Love 💓 Here's to 57 more 🥂💖
My husband and I recently moved out of our 40+ year suburban home and moved out to the country.
How exciting! Live your dreams! You have raised your kids and now it’s your turn! Can’t wait to see you realize your next chapter!
This is exciting! I’m happy for your next adventure. A relative died unexpectedly and I helped clear her belongings. It was quite a wake up call for me. I am Swedish death cleaning and ensuring all our end of life documents are easily accessible and in proper order.
Prayers for your Mom 🙏🏼
I’ve been decluttering on a regular basis for years and a few years ago I kicked it up notch to be more ruthless because we want to downsize from our 2400 square foot two story home to about a 1400 square foot one story home.
Hugs judy
Continued prayers for you, your mum and family. Excited for this next chapter in your life!!!
I'm really happy for you Diane, you sound so excited about moving 😊 I'm really looking forward to seeing all the decluttering you'll be doing, best wishes to your mum too ❤️
Thinking of you, Diane
I’m also through most of the boxes & things from their house. My decluttering muscles are tired. With our own move pushed back now, I‘ve lost the motivation & seem to have settled into „I have the room, it can stay where it is, I still have time, I’ve done a lot already….“ I’d like to start preparing for our next chapter again with a new mindset. 🎉
Prayers to your Mum too.
Thank you and all the love and blessings to you ❤
As always, you inspire me, Diane! Thank you for shining light on the road ahead. 🎉🎉🎉
...and thank goodness the pom-poms are staying! Never let go of the pom-poms 😁 xx
Soooo happy for you! Happy Birthday!🎉
Diane , we miss you loads but understand you must be going through a difficult time. Take it easy and hopefully see you soon ❤
Missing you and sending love Diane.
🎉HAPPY BIRTHDAY🎂, from Texas. 🎉
To fit our new space (since everything was sold or given away 11+ yrs ago)
Enjoy your new phase of life & the freedom of less stuff!🎉
Sounds daunting. On the other hand, it sounds like a great opportunity came up and energized you to make the move. You’ll get it done.
Happy Birthday! And Many Happy Returns!!!
We downsized nearly two years ago now and I loved the major declutterring. I watched all your videos which really helped so that when we moved we only had what we needed. It’s a time of enormous growth - enjoy the journey.
You seem so happy and excited. Lovely to see!
WOW, DIANE!
Happy birthday Diane. Fly high🥂🍨🇩🇰
I’m thrilled for you as you step into your next great adventure! Sending my best wishes to your mom, and wishing you a very happy birthday. 🎉 You’ve got this!
So excited for you! Love your optimism 💖
Happy Birthday !!! You are an inspiration for me.
Your kitchen looks so very lovely!
I would be so disappointed if you decluttered the pom poms! So glad they will be a part of your next chapter!
It is such a pleasure to see you FLY. Thank you for sharing over all of those years. ❤❤❤
Happy Birthday to you and your Mom. ❤❤❤❤
Happy birthday dear Diane! All the best for you and your family! I'll forever be thankful for your seemingly endless generosity and your bright attitude! ❤️
Best wishes as you move forward. Have a wonderful birthday celebration. 🎉
Wishing you a very happy birthday Diane!
Good Luck Diane. I love my home, having space, and my children and grandchildren filling it up again, often. Best if luck with your new life.
Thinking of you and your family often. Praying for y’all from Alabama.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY/GOD BLESS!
Excited for you Diane! I like your inspo. I’m in the same phase of life, just on my own. This an exciting time full of possibility! 🎉😊
