Bibi Kartar Kaur Ji you must visit your village Sahib Ke ( or Sabke) in Pakistan. It's now a comfortable journey from Lahore. The new Lahore-Sialkot Motorway ( M11), commissioned in March 2020, crosses the countryside like an arrow on the western side of Sabke village. Lahore to Daska Exit on M11 is nearly a 40 minutes journey and then another 15 to 20 minutes to Sabke. Some of the lands owned by your grandfather and father may now be under the motorway.
This new motorway M11 passes right through the middle of the area that has all the famous villages ( connected with the memories of the partition of 1947) of Cheema, Bajwa, Sahi, Malhi, Ghuman, and many other famous Jat and Rajput bradaris of the old Sialkot District.
Another salient feature that rose near Sahib Ke (or Sabke) after the partition of 1947 is Marala-Ravi Link Canal.
Sahib Ke is situated next to Aik Nala, but Aik Nala is dwarfed by the gigantic Marala-Ravi Link Canal (constructed in the early 1960s as part of the Indus Water Basin Treaty ); the course of the canal is located east of Sabke. This is one of the great canals of Punjab (Pakistan) and connects Sutlej with the Ravi River.
