- Hi guys, welcome to another film by antiquesarena, Buying Antiques & collectables from charity shops, go pro footage, this is my first attempt with a go pro, I am sorry for the small screen, will sort that on the next, I really hope you enjoy this type of format, its rare for you to see me buying the items and I am going to try and do it with car boot sale hauls also, I managed to find a few gems out of the charity shops I went buying at, I hope you guys enjoy.

Walter it was fun seeing you in action in the charity shops! Was intrigued by the Walker & Hall dishes. I sold a miniature 1904 trophy made by them. My only surprise on these dishes was how shiny they were. Still whether they are silverplate or solid silver a great find!!
Hi Ginger, Thank you for your comment, walker and hall is a real good maker, i acid tested mine last night and they are plate but for £2 still happy enough tbh,
I enjoyed that. I love seeing that huge charity shop. They certainly were clean and very nicely organised. The ones here are always pretty messy. I wish we could get a tour of your shop.

At--38:15-- If you take a magnet used to tell if coins are real, and test it on what you think may be real silver. If it's real silver the magnet shouldn't stick, not fully real silver it will stick) If you do an acid test then it marks up the piece with that ugly little black mark.
(Like REAL Morgan Silver Dollars are 90%silver, 10 %copper or 26.73 grams (could be less depending on age of coin. If you use the coin magnet if it sticks the coin is not real. If you hold the coin at a 45 degree angle put the magnet on the top part of the coin and if the magnet slides down slowly that's a very good sgin)
Hi Ghost City, Thank you for your comment, i agree that the acid leaves a burn mark but it can be cleaned off, prob with using a magnet on silver is silver plate is over copper or brass and both of those are none magnetic so it dont work, it only works on cheap chinese copies that are over base metal. i love metal detecting good luck hope you find a treasure,

Love. It . I'm always in the charity shops for bargains and always come away with a good deal.at the moment I'm looking into clothing boots etc.picked a Meccano set up with motor three pounds! I also collect glass but shall stay away from eBay following your blog. Good hunting Freund.
You seem like a nice guy and I like your videos. In this video, I don't like that you show other shoppers. They may not want to be on TH-cam.

I think it makes a great video! What a pretty little art glass vase for 2 pounds. I hope those are sterling silver bon bons, either way they are beautiful. XX

Thank you for showing us around the shops! I think you missed a find ! When you got the silver glasses you missed the tray they would be sitting on, looks like to me anyway.
Thank you for teaching us lots of neat stuff. I've been subed awhile now and always leave a thumbs up. I've just been doing alot of metal detecting lately. Finding lots of meats Morgans, Libertys and other coins.
