I'd catch it periodically back when we had the sprout channel, and later on when our PBS affiliate started their own 24-hour PBS kids channel, but then I finally moved on from watching kids shows in general probably last year or the year before... I was a nut lol... I still am, but it depends on the day and the context 😁 I know, they have changed arrangements several times since the '90s though haha... At 25:30, you see a nighttime episode with a closing credit sequence with a lullaby variant of the Sesame Street theme. I think that variant of the theme for nighttime (usually if not only or always on Friday) episodes got replaced by the alternate sequence with shots around the city at night in 1987 (around when Unitel Video started taping the show).
I think I hummed Hoku's Perfect Day song over my head during Beaches all inclusive family resort funding credit at the early 2000s and watching Seasme Street when I was a tiny baby in the mid 1990s takes me back.

Pretty sure you don't know this, you probably do, but I believe Big Bird was invited onto the Challenger, but it was rejected for logistical reasons, so they sent up the schoolteacher instead. Essentially, if the proposal was not rejected, Big Bird would've died on the shuttle.
There is a Season 42 credits (HQ) uploaded from Sesame Street's storm video, originally from around 2005 with their 2011 opening and credits hastily plastered over the original 2003 intro and credits.

I almost cried this brings back the memories
At 25:30, you see a nighttime episode with a closing credit sequence with a lullaby variant of the Sesame Street theme. I think that variant of the theme for nighttime (usually if not only or always on Friday) episodes got replaced by the alternate sequence with shots around the city at night in 1987 (around when Unitel Video started taping the show).

I was born in 1998 and I personally like Seasons 30-34 of Sesame Street the best.
I think I hummed Hoku's Perfect Day song over my head during Beaches all inclusive family resort funding credit at the early 2000s and watching Seasme Street when I was a tiny baby in the mid 1990s takes me back.

Pretty sure you don't know this, you probably do, but I believe Big Bird was invited onto the Challenger, but it was rejected for logistical reasons, so they sent up the schoolteacher instead. Essentially, if the proposal was not rejected, Big Bird would've died on the shuttle.

2003 is where it all started going down hill as far as the credits went. It was never the same after that.
The credits and funding sponsors were removed from the UK broadcast versions which went straight to the CTW endcap after the letter and number

I really love the CPB logo w/o the byline (A private corporation funded by the American people). You know, the CPB logo with the big circle and left-justified text.
I miss the CPB logo in the big circle, the big blue circle. And I wish they should still continue on with it.

I kind of wish the Corporation for Public Broadcasting still had its old circle logo. If that was used today, instead of that blue square CPB logo that scared the crap out of me when I was a kid (and is still used today), it probably would have had the CPB letters in all caps.
I did the 70s and 80s fundings with my nose closed to imitate the old timey feel of that era.
