While living in China, I found a few stores selling counterfeits of LTT products, some selling good-looking products and thought it would be a fun video to pitch to LTT, but I never got around to it. Great to see it come to fruition anyway!

The thing is they might be fake LTT images but the product they are printed on is just legit full price print-on-demand. It would be different if they were actually cheap knockoff products being mass produced in china/etc.
A lot are from RedBubble. Anyone can upload a design to the site and it is printed on demand. They only produce the item if someone orders it. That sort of service does work out a lot more expensive per unit.
This gives me new appreciation for skirt-wearers' ability to hide what they need to hide
as an occasional skirt/dress wearer I will share one simple tip to not accidentally flash people. cycling shorts in the summer and tights/leggings in the winter. They're like a couple of quid but if I'm wearing a skirt/dress it's so nice to not have to worry about that. Bonus - you don't have to worry about updrafts
If somebody gets their hands on the uncensored version of this video next year's counterfeit merch could be very interesting.

It's because dudes always sit with their legs apart lol, it's very subconscious when you're used to wearing them. The way Linus was clearly standing with his hips pushed back a bit when he first put the skirt on to hide the bulge got a giggle from me though

@@tacohead8543 aside from backpack and screwdriver, which are specialized products to be some of the highest quality within their niche, their products aren't ridiculously expensive. Just say you're broke next time
@@chefboyardeeznutsinyourmouth Well, their merch is priced appropriately for the quality. If you compare it to cheaply made Walmart or Amazon goods that fall apart with use, it is admittedly quite expensive.
Even better: bed sheets with tech specs. Make the old Weird Al lyrics come true:

Redbubble is pretty great for their convenience and their support have been fast and good too. The main problem is just that you pay a premium yet the quality is a dice roll between competent and bad. For custom printing, I'd certainly prefer paying more premium to guarantee a competent product. Gotta say though, I got the water bottle and 4 mugs years ago and I've used them every day since and love them. Certainly don't regret it.

I always love counterfeit products that are of a lesser quality than one could make on their own using ordinary consumer products. I have made my own little things before when I was in High School/college and I wanted to rep a brand for a thing I enjoyed but couldn’t afford the merch (or it didn’t exist in the way I wanted it) and like, even those things I made put these counterfeits to shame and I had no idea what I was doing 🤣
Would actually love to have a LTT quality shirt with the pocket logo design similar to the one at 10:44 to be honest. I love pocket designs or even a shirt with a pocket with the logo printed or embroidered there would be nice.

12:22 the marks prbbly come from manufacturing. It is common practice in the sewing industry to make marks on fabric with chalk.But this also means, that the shirt hasnt been washed after manufacturing and before retail.
depending on where the T-shirt/clothing is not washed before retail (at least pre covid).
I know of a budget brand of clothing that at the store had a literal must be washed before use.
Of all the LTT videos to watch after the channel was restored, I ended up going with this one… 😂

I could never personally justify buying most of the LTT merchandise because all of it is well beyond what i would personally spend for these types of products respectfully, but you can tell LTT puts a lot of time and effort into creating and manufacturing their products with a strong emphasis on quality, which i have a lot of respect for and appreciation. "If you're going to do something, do it right"
Although I've been eyeing that screwdriver. I use dollar store screwdrivers but i had a chance to use one of my dads Snap-on screwdrivers and there is a stark difference that i didn't think exist between cheap and good screwdrivers. The LTT screwdriver destroyed the Snap-on one in pretty much every test I've seen thus far. So it's left me wondering...

I totally agree... It is a bit pricy in my currency! Their stuff seems gunuinly high quality and they seem to take pride in the products... But yeah i guess you can think as part of the price as like a donnation ppls do to streamers... But instead of getting back only entertainment you get a cool product as well. I also think if you consider giving ltt 50 $ vs a big box store 50 $ it makes more sense
I totally get where your coming from, but in the grand scheme of things 20 bucks for a high quality t-shirt isnt much different a price than lesser quality shirts being sold at places like kohls. No way I could afford a 250 dollar back pack even though i know it would be totally worth the cost

@@han-huo There's the longevity of the screwdriver and the ergonomics of the grip. There is a difference. Plus you can also have extra features like magnetized bits, which allow screws to be extracted from recessed holes easier. You can also swap out bits on some higher quality screwdrivers, meaning all you need is a bunch of bits and one screwdriver, as opposed to a bunch of screwdrivers.
i own snapon tools and an LTT screwdriver. LTT hit snapon as the benchmark. But to be fair you have to want a quality tool. My husky $15 ratcheting screwdriver turns screws too but its not the same.
someone else has probably noticed already but the hole in the print on the comforter thing is the same hole as the tshirt had in the last vid with the same design iirc, which probably means that there's one png of the design on the internet that all these bootleg manufacturers use lmao

Part of me still appreciates the enterprisingness of these people. They showed up to work with an idea and executed it and saw it through to the end, and now they are making sales. It's more than I've done with my life.
The comforter is actually a really cool design and tbh I'd love to see that design in higher quality on something like a mouse pad or hell even a full print on some form of apparel. Maybe even a water bottle. Just place the logo tastefully and the abstract background design can pretty much wrap anything.
Agreed, I think the counterfeiters actually knocked it out of the park on that one. Put that on a quality bit of merch (for an appropriate price) and I'd be in for sure.
It was a good design, but it goes against their trend of not using their logo on their merch. Thats a move i totally agree with. Ill pay 20 dollars for a tshirt that I like the looks of, but I wont spend a dime on something with a logo. Im not going to pay to be a billboard. All that being said, I would love to see one of their tshirt designs on a duvet and would buy that in a heart beat.

I actually frequently check the store to see if they've released a coffee mug. I don't have much use for the clothing but a coffee mug could easily get added to my collection for morning coffee while working at the PC.
get a blank cup, print out LTT LOGO and paste it on that cup , until they release it officially

The marks in the armpit on one of the crappy t-shirts are from when the t shirt was put on a printing press. Sometimes the adhesive that's used on the "boards" the shirts are slid onto leaves a residue. (Source: I used to work a a print shop)

The funny thing about the Redbubble listings is that most of the price is just... what Redbubble make creators charge. They're expensive AF to make.
I rewatched the old video. The paint Logo was also featured on a comic sans t-shirt and the logo with the missing spot was also featured, but not as blown up as it was on a t-shirt

On the mug, Linus you got it spot on. My wife does sublimation printing on mugs, mouse mats, shirts, towels, all sorts and the quality of the image only diminishes if you undercook in the process (poor image transfer) or overcook (yellowing or browning on image) and to be fair, is pretty hard to do. Start with a good image, you finish with a good image, quite simple. We even did heat sensitive mugs and while they can be a little more fiddly, again no image quality drop when done right.
Some of that stuff was ok quality, but they were making a LOT of money considering what they were charging and material costs for the stuff they were using! (Probably similar suppliers to many smaller scale creators so we’ve an idea on how much they pay per unit and it isn’t much!).
And no, none of them products came from or near us and from the quality of most of that stuff, it would never leave our doors anyhow

Ohhhh, this is the origin of the stickers. I saw a video recently and very obviously noticed the intriguing image when I was watching a more recent video ([of you] reviewing [your] disliked and least viewed videos) and then dismissed it mentally. Then I saw the big Linus and was like "oooooooooh, I see" but it still felt off and then you slapped the face on the face and my mind blew.
It's so funny how 90% of men will put on women's clothing and then immediately expose themselves because they're not used to just having no pants at all lol

I had a laptop sleeve with some odd wolf graphic printed on it years ago. It has the same holes in the print as the one shown here. Apparently they have been using the same print base for like 10 years.
