      Does anyone know what does he mean by “2 *body* close”? I can’t understand how does “strong follow through “ exactly works.
      Does “body close means” that the candle should have very small wick/no wick at all? Or does he mean something else

    • @1TornMonkey

      @@smik2518 Body close means that the body of the candle (wick doesn't matter) is closing above/below, and not just wicking through.

      in 2023, the best month of this strategy was June; the worst was August (18% and -2% for me only EU). This is a solid strategy BUT you don't have to expect profit every time. That's the catch of all successful traders and profitable strategies.

    literally combines all the simple ideas of follow the trend, liquidity sweeps, trade in killzones, filter bad trades based on momentum and follow through.
    I bet this where most traders will get their "aha" moment and everything clicks.
    just need to backtest and to be confident while taking trades.

    what do you think about using EMA or STMA, instead of looking for higher highs and lower lows, to evaluate if we´re bearish or bullish?

  • @jerryv6577
    @jerryv6577 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Let's say we are in uptrend on 4H(momentum up). You get the EQ by drawing the fib between the high and the recent 4H fractal low. But the 4H range low is the lowest point in that swing? In this case the range low can be lower than the fractal low. If price moves down and below the fractal low, in the original version(before this 4H momentum filter), the range low would be broken(because the range low would be at the recent fractal low). But now in this new version, we are still in the 4H range in terms of the bias?

    17:00 you should specify that because we are buying and this is an ICT liquidity-based strategy, WE WANT LIQUIDITY (either fractal or 15min range) to be grabbed TO THE DOWNSIDE for a buy, for traders trading this it's self-evident but for ppl unaware of this, it can be a little confusing

    @scotttaylorfx At 31:50 Why do you not take the external 15m range sweep here? Is there something that invalidates it for a buy in discount? At 21:30 you take two shorts, but later at 35:50 you say not to take both shorts because of the 2% max allocation of risk. What is the difference between these that would change your mind?

I am confused, how can a sell at this point be "PRO directional Bias" if we are so bullish?

    In the very first example why did you not move the bottom of the range up to the most recent fractal low once price breached the fractal going up on the 4H? Your entire range would be wrong by what you teach and I believe would affect one or more of the trades you show after. Also you’re counting wins on news candles here. Correct me if I’m wrong

    • @Erika-dk3vc
      @Erika-dk3vc 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That because he's taking the range as a whole. Based on the SMC point of view, he's taking the entire range that created a choch to the upside. Basically, the low that created the high. Hope that helps !

    • @bryancaillier1151
      @bryancaillier1151 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It’s either an intentional error or unintentional. I’d like to give you the benefit of doubt and assume it’s unintentional but either way the results are completely skewed

    • @frankreed5669
      @frankreed5669 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      Bryan is absolutely correct. If you have been an evo member you will spot inconsistencies that skew results to look more favourable. Some trades here were during news and some from the 45-55% no trade zone, both are taught as big no nos but included here to make the strategy look better. Failure here to mention that EU ended -1% for the month in July, but not backtested here….coincidences? …. I think not. Scott would know each candle of EU off by heart as that is essentially what the course consists of, telling people to back test, gather your own data… particularly when difficult questions are asked.

    • @frankreed5669
      @frankreed5669 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s a strategy where as he explains himself you will have scenarios where you can either buy….. or sell at the same time😂 it’s simply gambling.
      When members have questioned this they are told do your backtesting and use your data and see what that tells you, instantly putting responsibility back onto the paying customer. it’s a joke.
      There is no evidence of the mentors trading this strategy. I asked last week on insta why they wouldn’t consider doing a live funding challenge to demonstrate they really can help people to become funded, as a member I was met with dismissive arrogance, my comments removed from insta and blocked from insta…. Nice guys 👍

  • @bryancaillier1151
    @bryancaillier1151 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      What I’ve noticed is that
      Momentum swing points-not your concept ❌
      Dealing ranges-not your concept❌
      Higher time frame analysis/lower time frame entry- not your concept ❌
      Premium/discount-not your concept❌
      Liquidity sweeps-not your concept ❌
      Killzones-not your concept ❌
      All this stuff is just regurgitated retail concepts readily available across YT.
      What makes your “strategy” unique?

    • @tobiasztopolski3151
      @tobiasztopolski3151 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@frankreed5669 Well they did say that they are ICT based traders, so they just managed those concepts and made their own strat. ICT himself also didn't invent ONE of his concepts as it is mainy retail, wyckoff, tom dante etc. Personally I've been in the community for a month during which I learned the strategy and got all my questions answered by the guys. Peronally I ended september pretty much Barely in profit but I am aware from my backtesting that the strat will probably work for like 4/12 months in the year really good, but that is the same with most strategies tbh. And personally they made me look at the market in a simpler way which I will intend to use for making my own strategies. I'd say that the strategy itself is good and simple but scott skews his yt content in such a way that people will think of the strategy as of something insanely good when in reality it is ok. I myslef am happy with paying the fee for 1 month and learning all I've learned so I can now implement it in the markets by myself. Hopefully it will perform well next year at least as I heard people say that 2020 and 2019 was bad for the strat, but personally idk i backtested 2023 and 2022.
