Thank you! I’m glad to hear my content has been enjoyable and informative for you. I’m hoping to be putting out more content soon. If there is anything you want to see a video on please let me know and I will try to make it happen. Have a great day!
Love your review! It actually addresses issues like having your phone at an angle when using the Backbone One Vs not having that problem when using the Gamevice FLEX. Thanks!
How's the durability and long-term use? I do like the idea of retractable design of other controllers.I get worried with the ribbon/ loose design. The compact of it collapsed is nice. I just don't want the internals getting twisted, frayed, or ruined. If you believe the FLEX will not be a concern. I'm planning for FLEX then. I mainly wanting it for emulation and android gaming.
Honestly, I thought the same exact thing but with my experience with the retractable design like the Backbone controller for some reason those seem to break down, I have gone through two Backbone controllers and I’m currently on my third one but so far the ribbon design with the GameVice has been holding up. Now I do feel that there are some things that Backbone does slightly better on the software side of things but when it comes to their hardware, the failure rate seems to be a little bit on the high side, which is a big negative in my opinion. So I guess what I’m trying to say from this long reply is that you should have no concerns with the Flex. If anything changes and I start experiencing issues, I will definitely make an update on that.
@Blue Eyed Tech Thank you very much for such a fast and detailed reply. Sounds like I'll be happy and won't have regrets with what I want out it then. I look forward to picking the FLEX up then as soon as I can. 🙂
I spent hours going back and forth what controller to get. Originally I had the Razor Kishi. Absolutely loved it. Somehow I came across this beauty I think in a TH-cam video… add to cart - SOLD. 😂
Hi! I'm going to buy the Gamevice Flex. It's been a while since you made this video, is there anything negative to add regarding Gamevice Flex or can I buy without worries? Thanks for the content and attention.
Mine still works great. The only thing I wish was better is the GameVice app itself but when it comes to the controller itself it still works great. You should have no worries with this controller
Purchased a backbone and the left side stopped working within a month, and the customer service is trash so this may be my next alternative and the fact that it can provide my phone protection is a plus
I’m sorry to hear your issue with backbone. I had a similar issue with my backbone breaking but they sent out a replacement. Regardless the backbone seems to have issues with units breaking and I haven’t had any issues with the GameVice Flex yet. Definitely recommend the GameVice
I have a couple of questions, apologies if I missed them in the review: - Do you experience any wobble on the individual sides of the controller, or do the custom adaptor pieces ensure a sturdy fit? I heard that that is an issue on the Kishi v1, since it doesn't have a "backbone" between the sides for support. - Are the dpad and ABXY buttons rubber membrane or microswitch like the Kishi v2? This controller seems better than all of the competition (full-size sticks, analog triggers, 3.5 jack + charging) so I may go for it, although I do find it expensive.
I wouldn’t say there is wobble but if you bend the controller toward you there is some flex (but you would have to be trying to do that. It didn’t happen while I was playing with it). As far as the buttons go they feel like a regular controllers buttons to me and not super clicky. I hope this helps
Awesome review. I didnt see any mention on it with the different adapters but it feels like i still can't use my Fold 3 with this incredible device without a special 3D print out adapter like ive seen on another video. 😊
@blueeyedtech1234 Yes, I have. It looks a little silly to me the way the phone hangs down past what would be considered the bottom portion of the Backbone. And the weight distribution has an odd feeling to it.
@@laoguyz as far as the hanging down look Sony is going to have that same look for their upcoming handheld plus I’m sure it looks better than the tablet I used in one of my recent videos. The only thing I wish Backbone allowed was for you to keep a case on the phone while using it

Someone did say in the comments they got their phone to work with a case on a Kishi v2 but I haven’t tried this out myself so I can’t confirm from personal experience if that’s true or not
Is the Android version compatible with the ROG Phone 6? I saw that the USB C is not in the center of the ROG Phone 6 so I'm concerned. I may be returning it to the seller.
Unfortunately, from what I looked up, it seems because of the off-center USB-C port it would not fit in the GameVice flex, but it should work in the Backbone one controller and the Razer Kishi V2 for android
@@blueeyedtech1234 that’s goood I was gonna get the gamevice flex but I got the PlayStation backbone because it gets my hands perfectly! But there both great
I believe they make a version with USB-C that should work on the new iPhone 15 models. It won’t work with the version of the controller that uses the lightning connector

i'll wait till it comes down in price. That 1 month of gamepass ultimate is probably an excuse to inflate the price a bit.
