I worked with copper sheet metal when I was young. If anyone has ever been cut by copper sheet metal then you know how much, much more sore it gets the next day than a cut from galvanized or aluminum. I mean so sore, sometimes it’s hard to move your hand or fingers. An old sheet metal man showed me a trick when I was young and it works. When you get cut by copper, instead of immediately bandaging it up. You get a small stick like a paint stirring stick. Then you smack the cut and all around it to make it bleed profusely. The next day the cut won’t be sore. It’s odd but trust me, it works. Maybe whatever is in the copper metal that makes the wound so sore leaches out of your cut when you make it bleed and prevents it from getting sore. I don’t know why it works but it works. Hope this helps someone.
