    I made my first garment thanks to you! I'm so thankful to have had your help and instructions. The skirt came out well for my first try. The waistband is wonky because I couldn't sew it straight but it looks really great otherwise. I'm so happy that you're here. I can't wait to sew along to other projects of your making.

    Very Good Tutorial! Don't think the music is even necessary as it drowned out some of your comments as you were sewing, I'd rather hear what you are saying than hear music. Love the way you talk us through it while showing us how it's done, for someone who learns by watching it was fantastic!

      Yes you can, and most of them have a width of about 55-60 inches which would make it possible to achieve the length without needing to join any extra piece.

    I am a beginner, l thought the length should have been cut from the exact waist line instead of measuring from the top, will it not be too long.

    • @PatternAcademyByCharnold
      @PatternAcademyByCharnold 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for watching and for your comment. No, it will be the correct length since we measured the waist amount to cut out plus the skirt length. Hope this clarifies.

    Really good instruction, I sometimes got a little lost, it might be helpful to show wider camera angles occasionally just to allow the viewer to orient themselves on what are pretty large pieces of fabric. The other issue that really spoiled it for me was the loss of audio quality from about 15 mins in. I just couldn’t hear you any more from this point which unfortunately made it unwatchable for me thereafter. Looking forward to seeing what else you produce.

    • @fairlymoon448
      @fairlymoon448 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      the audio was disappeared after that but I found if you turn on CC (close caption) then can still follow, but agree that the audio needs to.. be redone

    Will it be OK if I cut two half circles to give me a full circle?

    • @PatternAcademyByCharnold
      @PatternAcademyByCharnold 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, because the waist will be too much. To avoid that ensure you divide the waist measurement you get from the half circle by 2. Then go ahead to cut out for the full circle. It’s okay to cut it in two pieces if you do not have enough fabric to cut it once. Hope that helps.

    • @janellepeschier8424
      @janellepeschier8424 ปีที่แล้ว
