I think that plate displays are making a come back! I'm in the process of collecting vintage stoneware plates in all different floral patterns from the 70's! I also love beautiful floral collector plates, floral art and floral crewel embroidery.
The Kitties all framed are just adorable! I love the keys shadowboxes!…..too cute!! I think I have those florals ….in the same frame too! Mine are packed away from moving so I’m not for sure….. but, I know I love them too! Water spots & all!! Who cares!…..right?
Between the music, the editing and all the ideas...this was a homerun! You highlight so many of my favorite things to thrift for home decor -frames, botanical prints and old books (the Vincent St Paul book stack was perfection) and of course BASKETS!!! My top favorite finds/styling was the pinecone candle on the verdigris candle holder and the seashell teapot/creamer duo LOVED THOSE!. What an enjoyable video from start to finish, plus you looked beautiful in that embroidered top❤ Amazing job Katherine!
Love thrifting, and when I saw you on Kat the nurse flipper this evening, I thought I’d check out your channel. Oh, my! It’s dangerous territory for me because your vintagey style reflects the type of thing I find irresistible and am always picking up from the shelves. Very much enjoyed watching you build up those decorative vignettes. What a nifty way to film your video! While I’d never decorate in dark academia, your presentation of it was my favourite! But wait… And the linens, the pink c&s, the blue transferware, clear glass…😂.
New to your channel. I am a 63 year old wife, mama and grandma ( Loo Loo) to two teenage grandsons.... I am a thrifter for myself and my home...I enjoy the unique and less big box store decor items you can find out "in the wild". I think it is so funny ya'll describe the candle holders as candlestick holders, and the candles as candlesticks.... It always cracks me up! I live in Ohio and maybe we just refer to things differently, the "holders" are candlesticks, the candles that fit in them are tapers, or the fat thick ones are called pillars.... loved the faux candle! I am curious as to your shelving behind you. Is that your storage area?
One Halloween when my youngest sun was course in beginning.Great school.I made 2 to black spiders. My hands were full of Glue You know those big eyed black spiders
What an awesome video, Katharine! I’m still watching, but I had to stop and tell you!❤❤❤❤ love your Lily creation, smiley Captain Jack and the whole vignette. 3 is the creative’s go to #!
I almost always pick up tablecloths, cannisters, and jugs. Now i have to have a use before I buy it but there are those special ones that sneak in anyway 😂
They can even vary a lot within the same town. Our local Salvation Army/Goodwill (i forget which one it is, we dont have the other) almost never has anything worth getting unless you are looking for clothes. The indy ones are better, but still variable. One of them always has loads of cool stuff (packed full!) but nothing ever has a price tag! The flea markets around here are mostly better for finding non clothing deals than the thrift stores are. Just gotta look, and google map, and see what's in your area
I love how you styled everything Katherine! 😍The diys are so much fun and the clear glass looks so elegant. 😊❤️ Also, love the pink and gold tea cup as well as that antique plate. So gorgeous! 💖 Thank you for showing the reader’s digest book spine, now I’m on the lookout for pastel colored ones if they have any 😄💕💕💕
I liked most of what you shared today but I'm trying to sell my collections and finding that what I love is not always what other people want to buy in my booth.
That can happen. Market value and demand doesn’t always align with our personal preferences. It sounds like price points need to change or the outlet for moving the items needs to change.
I really enjoyed this video and the way you displayed these items in your home. Creating vignettes allows the viewer to imagine ways in which we might use them in our homes. Great job! ❤
Hi. Just found your channel. I really enjoyed your content. I’m living in Australia. Used to live in the USA. I so miss the abundance of thrift stores you have there. Not so great here. I found your video very inspiring. Thank you.
This was a great video. Katherine, you have am amazing eye for detail & placement. Thank you so much for these tips. I have the "stuff," but not the confidence to arrange & display it. It takes days & days for me to set up for every day displays & more for holidays! 😅🩷
I spent all wknd. watching a variety of thrifting videos & your advice, keen eye, presentation & vignettes r my inspirational, jaw dropping & practical - favorite!!!!! - by far ❤😊!!!!! So glad that I just found u & subscribed!!!
You did a great job and beautiful vignettes! I must say that my favorite were the clear arrangement in the bathroom and your set tablescape is stunning. I love the idea of the mirrored vanity on the table. Beautiful! Tfs❤
Fantastic! You’ve been a busy bee. Love this content. My favorite was the table scape. When I thrift, I am always looking for things to add to my collections.
Just recently found ur channel. I'm loving ur style. And didn't really ur from Minnesota 😊 I am too! I've never seen another TH-camr from Minnesota yet. I'm from Detroit Lakes MN, idk if you've heard of it. Anyway looking forward to watching more
A while back. You had a cup and saucer teacup. It was that brush gold satin something. I think you said it was. I absolutely love that teacup set. I can't think what you call it though. And it was cold. Brush coat hippie recalls that cut the saucer and feel like we're having it on for sale.
@@KatherineYoung ahh.. good to know. After my comment I googled imaged Moorcroft candlesticks and some of them were nearly identical in style. He did a lot of flowery kinda designs and stuff. But he was originally around early 20th century and I think the later stuff the slip work outlining becomes more subtle. But they were HUNDREDS of £££!
I remove all dust covers. It makes them look so much better for styling.
I could see that! I don’t want to store them so I leave them on usually.

I hope so too!
I hope so
I love how you added each new cathegory to the previous ones, building up on them. Well done!
Thank you so much!
Love the linens with the ‘M” monogram….. I also love old antique linens…especially bed linens & exquisite tablecloths!
Me too!!

Fingernail polish remover would probably easily remove the glitter stars on from the mirrored box.
Love that idea!
I love thrifting for doileys, embroidered pillowcases and tablecloth, aprons too!
Yes! Gotta get all the doilies!

So creative, fun video to watch. That doily would be great for Halloween, looks sort of like spider webs.
Doesn’t it!?!? I love it!
Great video! Wonderful tips for decorating with antiques and vintage pieces! 💗
Thanks so much!
The flower prints at the beginning certainly did pull together many different items. I love the "M" linens. Doilies do make a room cosy. Great video.😘
I totally agree!
Really enjoyed this video. You sourced so many great pieces and styled them beautifully!
Thank you so much! This one was a labor of love for sure!

I am not entirely sure without knowing what video.
Gold luster
17:20 Can’t tell, maybe I need a slow closeup to see how it’s glazed/painted and the slip work, but they remind me of England’s higher end Moorcroft.
Not these ones. They are made in China.

Hi Kathryn 😊 What’s a CRAO?
I almost made it through an entire video without cursing in envy. 😂🤬😂

Hi baby 💃💃💃🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️

Love all your ideas!
