Old Key West is our first DVC home which we purchased in 1997.
My husband and my picture is hanging in The Community Hall across from the doors. 😊
I love Olivia’s, CM’s are fantastic. The breakfasts are great and if I go for dinner I usually get the chicken..so good!!
The boat ride to Disney Springs is really nice too!

Hi Nate! I was that girl in the picture with Cinderella. Amazing that you pointed that picture out. There was a pic of my dad with minnie mouse and daisy duck too but i think it got taken down due to his pants tent.
I agree on Olivia's. Very underrated. Great prime rib brunch on the weekends. A "sleeper" place to eat. Prices are also decent compared to other resort restaurants.

Yes we have 2 pictures on the wall of my son at 10 with my niece and at 12 with is friend, he is he is 36 now !!! It means so much to come back and see them every year. Definitely feels like home

I’ve been going to Disney since 1971 and YES hard to believe back in the day when you could actually move freely in the parks, the characters just walked around for pics and meeting guests😍those were the days❣️❣️❣️OMG loaded potato soup is THE best soup ever made!!! How can you not love it🥴
Yeah, $519 a night for any room just to sleep one night is just too crazy!!! Sadly that’s not unusual for Disney!

We luv old key west and we usually rent points, we stayed end of January into first part of February and it cost us around $240 a night through renting points
We stayed here once, it was many years ago when it was fairly new. I loved being there. So quiet and pretty. Thanks for showing it.

Love OKW resort and Olivia's. Definitely very under rated resort. It has a great relaxed laid back feel. Had a long day today and came home to see this vlog up. Made my afternoon so much better. Miss those rockers

This was a great review! I definitely have to check this place out soon, I also appreciate a lot of the points you made like the history and how it used to be called the Disney vacation club resort, telling us that Olivia‘s has a soup of the day and just an overall idea of where the resort is in location to Disney Springs. A lot of useful tips are always appreciated! Great video man!
Doing a day at DisneySprings with my wife and sister in law for their birthdays. We will be arriving around noon, so my plan was to start at Olivia's since my wife loves breakfast. Then go to the Springs with Dinner at the boat house.
Hi Nate! My family is on the Olivia's wall! Thanksgiving gathering picture from 1995! There are people in that photo who are no longer with us, so I love that they are memorialized on the wall at our beloved home resort.

This is our home resort - we love the resort and Olivia’s ❤️! We sat at that same table back in January. Thank you for bringing us “home” and making us drool over the chicken and potatoes 😋.
We stayed at Old Key West to scout it out and it is expensive but totally worth it. The rooms were great and the amenities were excellent. Our favorite things were the walk up bar, hammocks and the main pool/sauna in the lighthouse.

Nate, I always appreciate your honesty. We are not DVC but I love the relaxation atmosphere at this resort. We have stayed there a few times and I adore it.

Hi Nate, fellow Scranton guy here. Just wanted to say that I really appreciate your vlogs. Olivia's is a hidden gem. We had our big crew of 8 get dinner on Good Friday about a dozen years ago. We wanted to get fish for the dinner. They had a great deal of seafood for the day. It was great to get over there via boat (stayed at PORFQ). Had some drinks before dinner, had a chance like you to walk about for a while and take in the vibe of the place. We loved it. BTW went to Easter Mass at the Contemporary in the convention center with something like 5,000 of our closet friends. Wow it was awesome.
Gotta love the original DVC resort. 99% sure it was the first one, plus they have the biggest rooms on property.

Disney regular prices have priced many people out! Sad because I used to bring my daughter every year. But as a widowed Mom I can’t afford it anymore. Key West resort looks beautiful. I’ve never been there.

Sadly, they took them off the menu. 😪 They are now Shrimp Fritters. Doesn't have the same ring to it. I hope someone tries them soon so we can get a review!

Hey Kiddo!! I left a comment,but I don't see it,so I probably didn't tap the right button to post,so here goes again!! I can't thank-you enough for posting this. Hubby and I are going to stay at OKW for the first time on 5/6,before we head out to our home resort at WL. We were curious as to how the food will be and you gave us a great review! It will be kinda fun to stay there for two days,as, guess where we live? Yup,we live in the real Key West!!! We have, a couple of times,taken the boat from DS to the small bar there,so we are familiar with that. We haven't brought any patches because our Fire Dept and Police Dept already brought them. They even have a patch from the little town I grew up in on L.I., Deer Park!! The Gurgling Suitcase is based on a bar here in KW called The Chart Room. We usually go there on Friday evenings. I'll take a picture of it and send it to you.It's a tiny hole in the wall place that serves free hot dogs, popcorn and peanuts. There's about 6 bar stools and a couple of tables. It's hard to find,actually tucked into the middle of a high end resort. It was a locals place until TRip Advisor happened. Tourists used to be afraid to go in(it's kinda dark). But now it's mostly tourists and they do get a kick out of the place. Personal thanks for the tour!! Love Ya!!!

I will be staying at Old Key West in December, I’m looking forward to it. This is gonna be the second time I’ve stayed there. I was on the fence about Olivia‘s but I’m definitely gonna make a reservation to have some of that fried chicken. Thank you for showing me a lot of the amenities, I didn’t check out a lot of the things last time I was there. I’m going to send this to my friend because she will be going with me.

We stayed there Sept 2020 shortly after the parks reopened. We exchange with RCI and paid for a whole week only $500. We loved it!! We had a 1 bedroom with a full kitchen

I went to Rix a while back and I thought the pricing was great and the food was incredible! Gotta get the cotton candy cheesecake off the kids menu if you have a sweet tooth like me. It’s over at Corando Springs Resort. I also think it’s the only Disney operated sports bar on property.
