      @@musicmarketing Oh boy, NYU Music Business Class of 2025 over here and already feeling like Indiepreneur is competing at a very high level with my Steinhardt degree. BUT trusting that the two combined will be kryptonite!

      @@Mariami Lol You're genuinely better off not going into steep debt for something that's not that employable. I have a Masters in Marketing and even that was a questionable choice in hindsight - a crucial field to study for entrepreneurship and if you're in a senior position, but as far as employability ; especially entry level, pretty useless.

      Most won't.
      They're too busy getting their hair, makeup & dance routine perfected for their next Tic Tok video.
      "I'm gonna be sooo rich and famous... I'm the next Taylor Swift, I just know it!"
      They're better off buying a lottery ticket as it's far cheaper, faster and the odds of success are much higher.

    I actually have a certificate in Social Media Management and it literally says the exact same thing that this video says basically content is king. And I put it to use in my music marketing plans and let’s just say things are going well. However I find that this method took quite a while to achieve, me particularly I took 3 complete years to see the fruition of my blogging efforts. But yeah, I think it was worth it

    1 questions tho, when you say release music often what is the sweet spot ? Is 1 release a month enough?
    Posting once a day a cool video content is enough?

    How do you promote your released music on TikTok when they flag it for copyright and remove the audio? I’ve never had this issue with Instagram. Thanks for putting this info out!

  • @collinmorlockmusic
    @collinmorlockmusic 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Can you explain the strategy at 19:30 again? Would you take down everything you've already posted and just repost it to see if the algorithm likes it? Are you doing this daily posting just to get the algorithm to like you more? If I could get a month's worth of posts out of just 5 videos that I could film in two or three days and actually grow organically from it, that'd be a game changer

  • @AlexSaheli

    Maybe I'm stupid just haven't figured out yet how my content should look like from the tech standpoint meaning:
    - Should I just perform or should I have my track from the tiktok library on that video.
    - TikTok is strange in that regard and doesn't allow me to find my track cuz it's "not commercial" or something. No idea.

  • @maxboostandthepowerups

    Sometimes I wish you wouldn't give away so much amazing info for free lol, how are us IndiePros gonna maintain our edge over the competition 🤣. For real though, this is gold, I'll be sharing it with every musician I know that wants to grow!

    • @TenFalconsMusic
      @TenFalconsMusic 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Don't worry. Most new artists aren't willing to put in the time & effort to become a successful Indy artist.
      In that regard, the herd will always be thin because the sheep keep trying to jump into the wolf's (major labels) mouth.

    • @maxboostandthepowerups
      @maxboostandthepowerups 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@TenFalconsMusic ha, yeah, though I do think a lot of Indy artists have never even thought about running their career as a business focused on sales. I’m personally trying to explain this to other artists I know but unfortunately it’s a totally foreign concept to most musicians. I know a lot of musicians who understand they can make money outside of gigging and steaming by doing lessons, product endorsements, synch placements, mixing/mastering for others, etc. but direct to fan sales is not something that has ever even occurred to them

    Absolutely bonkers how labels simply DON’T think about music marketing this way, yet they wanna make money 😂

    • @TenFalconsMusic
      @TenFalconsMusic 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The allure of free money is strong.
      Far stronger than the satisfaction of helping musicians.

  • @jeffvibesmusic

    I think Spotify followers is even more important than monthly listeners as a metric, because listeners can really vary just because of some playlist placements for example and it doesn't necessarily mean that people who listened to your song became fans, followed you or just even liked the song. So with that being said, what do you think can be a number of Spotify followers that an artist can say like okay maybe I'm moving closer from first to the second case? Love guys!
