New England Mosaic Society presents; Uncovering the Secrets of Slate

Speaker: Rachel Davies, Mosaic Artist and Educator, Dunblane, Scotland and Chair of the British Association of Modern Mosaics (BAMM).
Rachel creates textural artworks with an organic feel by focusing on using natural materials such as slate and stone. In this webinar Rachel will talk about her work with slate, from discovering where to find it and how to prepare it, to using it as an expressive material in mosaic artwork. Examples of her mosaic art will be used throughout the talk to illustrate the points covered.
