Great car but I agree with you. Also I wanted to listen to the engine, but sadly it became obvious that the director of the video isn't a true petrol head, if he was he wouldn't have put pointless music on as soon as the engine was started. Most definitely a case of less is more!!
Yes, everyone is a critic, tee hee, oh ho ho a ha ha.🤮 Seems like their other half held the camera, and watched too much Top Gear, by comparison only the intrusive, irrelevant needless irritation of music is worse. But at least they didn’t remove the engine so as the camera operator could fit in for the worshipful kneeling in prayer upwards pointing shot of the adonis presenter, one hand on the wing like a majestic macho leonine beast claiming it’s prize with tother hand on hip or hand in jeans pocket, thumb pointing…because someone has the hard job of telling us unworthy plebs, (that would never dare be so common and rude as to ask for an actual look), what the engine details are. Sorry i’m still bearing a grudge against the BBC.
@@mygreatbigfoot1679 Spot on comment!! Also don't forget that that adonis presenter gets paid more per episode than most people get in a few years, even more annoying as they're on the bbc as we all know "aunty beeb" is funded by the tv licence fee. But what really sticks in my throat is when a grossly overpaid presenter proudly proclaims about "the unique way the bbc is funded'. Grrrrr!!!! Since its the British public that pay into this government supported scam why can't we have more say about the programmes that are on it and the wages of its "stars"?
Wow, amazing! Fiberglass culture in England looks still alive with this car, I’m glad you brought it in this video and congrats to the owner! Loved the design perspective around it!
This car has a timeless feel to it's design, very taught smooth lines that flow gracefully from from to back. It deserves to be reintroduced onto the market. Perhaps with an alloy engine, discs all round and 6 speed box! But definitely no electric motors
I had one back in 72 when I was 19 had been built for racing by a local speed shop in Watford called Roy North it had been highly modified and bumpers all removed and body blended in looked great. Had. 1500 pre- cross flow but cosworth tuned it went really well !! Great car should have kept it - I sold it for 375 quid about a year later never held on to cars long had some fun though. Be nice to get another one to restore
Interestingly, there is a Fairthorpe badge inside. I only came across one Fairthorpe car in my entire life - it was Electron, which was on display at Kimbolton County Fayre in 2024.
A great car, but with a presenter who doesn’t appear to know anything at all - as in nothing at all - about cars… wonder why he does the show? - Brilliant & fascinating car - hope that the owner gets a chance to properly showcase it in detail.
"Very British" but copies the NSU Prinz? Hmm. The question is why did they copy the NSU??? He was telling the history then you interrupted him. Thanks for the video. Finally one I've never heard of!
Rubbish filming, you are talking sbout the car, the entire thing is supposedly about the car, but the film hops and dances everywhere, you do not get to see it properly, reserved up against a wall, stupidly poor, sorry, thumbs down, could do better, interesting subject matter, poorly executed

It's the first episode! Cut them some slack. I'm sure they will get better.
Hey, I always enjoy finding out about interesting cars so I hope your channel is worth it. But the camera work isn't great. The car is the star, not you guys. It's hard to take Mark seriously as he looks terrified of the outdoors and what's with those bright sole boots? Did he stop on the way to buy them?
Sports Car Graphic did a whole article in period on small scale British sports car producers and the Talisman was in the article. Never have actually seen one.
what a restore project, seems a new car and already special with it´s history
Never even knew they existed. Thank you for sharing your car.
Our pleasure!
Why TF can't the cameraman focus on something for more than a couple of seconds without pointlessly wandering about?
Everyone's a critic, 😅!

There must be a good cameraman out there looking for work.....
The design looks a lot like a larger version of the NSU Sport Prinz, a tiny German sports car of the 1950s
Great car in fantastic condition. The shape is very reminiscent of the NSU Wankel Spider. The wheels definitely do not suit the car.
A Lotus Twincam would drop right in... 😊
Good call!
Great start - look forward to more great content
Much appreciated!

Very cool! Thanks for sharing
Awesome Videos! Love the Tornado…super rare and special GT car.
Thanks for watching!
A great video on a cool and interesting car, and not one of heard of before. Everyday's a school day!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice car, reminds me of the Peerless gt. 😊
Oh yeah!
Always wanted one.Lovely car.

That's pretty awesome!
Glad you think so!
Many thanks.
The Talisman was raced in period and several of these cars still race today.
I can't wait for it 🎉
Amazing!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
@@gasolinejuice_official Cheers!
Nice car. My age🙂. First time I have heard of this brand. Cheers from NZ🇳🇿. I have subscribed.
Awesome! Thank you!
Why,why did you start loud music at the same time as the engine started!?

It's a Bond Equipe on a different chassis and drive-train.
Looking forward to an Alfa Sprint.

That engine-bay...and the colour...just ditch the wheels! 😅
I see a lot of Alfa Romeo in the styling of the front half of the car.
It's NSU Wankel Spider all the way.

A VERY ENGLISH DESIGN
How so???? It's almost a copy of the NSU Prinz!
Terrible camera work!
Nice car though 😎
