Yeah I find Manga Deals on there all the time. I think Beserk is going to be a wild ride, that is a ton of content.

I really enjoyed the 13(!) Osamu Tezuka books you spotlighted. I almost backed the kickstarter some of them were from, it was like a subscription to multiple volumes and a little pricey at the time, iirc. I was surprised you found so many in the wild. Hopefully you'll do some more Manga hauls in the future, this was a lot of fun.
I am really enjoying Manga lately, find myself reading more then just collecting it which is great so there will be more Manga hauls. Hopefully I can find an audience to watch them. But Yeah finding so many Tezuka books in one lot was kind of amazing, especially since I needed 11 of them.
Sean, I got a good chuckle when you put up YURITSAI YATSURA. My LCS had a pile of them for 50 cents for Black Friday sale. I'd planned on grabbing them but there seemed to be a bunch different series so I'm pausing for research. I have both the # 1's of KOMI CAN'T COMMUNICATE and ATTACK ON TITAN> Right now I'm into LOVE IS HARD FOR OTAKU (A workplace romantic comedy) and also ASUMI_CHAN ( Which is R rated so, don't show this one to Grandma!!) It's aracy Yuri where agirl falls for a childhood girlfriend after they kiss and becomes obsessed with finding her again
Haha at 50 cents id just grab them all and figure it out later lol I collect the 1980s single reprints but enjoy reading in the modern thicker volume format.
Sounds like some fun series I will look into them.
20th century boys is soooooo good! Also, I have a book suggestion, i have a feeling you'll love it - Maison Ikkoku. Check it out, if you haven't already. Hope all is well brotha
I am a little lost on volume 1 of 20th century boys, but I am enjoying it so far. Need to finish it to get a better feeling of what is happening. And yeah I love Rumiko Takahashi stuff so I think I have Maison Ikkoku already, possibly the older 1980s reprint.
I've avoided getting into manga, mostly because my interests are largely in certain artists and oddball genre comics diverse enough to hold my interest. Glad to see your interests though!
I have been finding myself enjoying reading them more then anything else lately so its definitely growing interest.
Unlike what the trend is that manga is becoming more and more popular my interest has just vaned since the nineties.
I really find myself enjoying reading it old and new.
Komi Can't Communicate is mass produced in the US (you can find them at Target) so I wouldn't sweat trying to complete that one if it turns out you do like it. There should be a lot out there easily found second hand. Thinking about a couple manga I own that have a good story and interesting art as well as an English release in progress...
"Vampeerz" by Akili. It's about an ancient vampire queen who wants to die but can only do so if she can convince an ordinary girl from a specific human bloodline line to stab her. Of course that's easier said than done since for the human it was love at first sight. She begins a war of attrition by moving in and enrolling in school trying to get her to change her mind. It's a drama/comedy/horror and the art is beautiful.
"Shadows House" by Somato is about kidnapped village kids who live in a victorian mansion and are paired as Living Dolls with sentient creatures made of soot who are all black and unable to visibly emote due to that. So instead the kids learn to emote for them as they train to rise in the rank in Shadow House. The art is gorgeous and the story is both dark and whimsical.
Yeah I ended up finding a lot of 5 books on Mercari for $16+ shipping with the missing Komi volume I needed. Was easy to find. Whats funny is I also bought a lot of 3 books for $20 to get Orochi Volume 4 and it happened to have Vampeerz 1 and 2 haha thanks for the suggestion! Makes me more excited to get that lot. Worked out perfect lol Shadows House sounds really interesting I will have to track it down. Thanks so much for the recommends.
@@pop-comics That's a fortunate lot of books then. There's only three volumes of Vampeerz in English so far, but the series is complete in Japan. Also Shadows House has two seasons of an anime out so far. A CloverWorks production. Both seasons up on crunchyroll iirc.
There is a documentary of the gekiga mangaka Yoshihiro Tatsumi called Tatsumi.
I will have to check it out.
This isn't really a manga note but can you recommend a shop that might have any SPECTRE (3rd series) # 51 and 60? I have a good bit of this series both those two just elude me. I know My Comic Shop has them but I tried to order stuff from them and was told my check was likely tossed in the shredder. (I eventually got it back!)
If you need to send a physical check to purchase not 100% sure what shop you can use. If you have a debit card or a credit card you should be able to order anywhere online.
You gotta find the Berzerk book ends they are awesome too

Berserk is a good series. It's messed up. But a good series.
