Rika Kihira and Alexandra Trusova will probably dominate female figure skating if they stay healthy. Trusova with her two quad in the same routine and Kihira with her 3A combo and single 3A in the same routine. Hope they stay healthy
There's no way they'll have quads when seniors tbh. There's a reason why even make skaters don't train quads until their body is fully developed. The strain will make it impossible for them to keep them, sadly :/
it looks that not swinging the leg high in the air, as you say, helps to keep the jump solid. Nobody else can do this combination at the moment, so.......
quiddy Her technique is a lot better than Tara's but I do agree she doesn't "step up" enough on the axel, on the flip side tho, it looks like a consistent jump, landed with good speed, and control.
Chris Quidlat she is doing not just a 3A she is doing it with combination with 3T. Do you know what that means? She has a solid axel technique. Combinations in this quality needs great power and control that’s why she is the only woman ever who can do 3A with combination.
Coaches use this as an example for a triple axel. It is just a different technique, but still full 3 1/2 revolutions. By ISU rules, this is an axel. The same ISU rules mention prerotation on toe jumps and the outside edge on lutz, but you don't see the quadsters getting hammered. Maybe that's where we should be concerned about.
It’s not good at all. She’s doing it like Tara Lipinski. When she takes of for the jump she does not swing her free leg as high as she could. As a result she barely gets off the ice. It’s very underwhelming. I hope the scoring should reflect that and does not award her full points for execution. When your taking off, your free leg is suppose to swing up more such that on frozen/still image, it looks like you are climbing up to a ledge. That propels you vertically.
quiddy thank you for explaining that I mean I thought oh that’s great she can do that, but I felt something looked weird and off, like I couldn’t tell was it her head or something? But it’s just looked weird to me.
well, tbh she is small, when she grows up if she doesn't have good technique she may struggle with it, now its easy cause the lack of body mass, but she is not going to be like this forever
Is thst the new technique now ? Instead of using The free leg to launch yourself up , you close your leg and start the rotation right away? No wonder none of those jumps are high and exciting. The triple Axel used to stand for athleticism and power. Now it just looks like a prerotated jump that barely gets off the ice.
Great and fully rotated.
her jumping power is amazing. that axel was complete. amazing really
So clean...perfection....💗

Bret Williams trusova will reach senior level without doing quads tbh
You are truly right. Senior level no more quads. Aside from she is not doing quads. May 3.5 or a little more but no quad.

@@luluhz8244 tbh, the quads are so pre rotated, it's not even funny. Appreciate the effort, but should not get full credits.
Kihira has no prerotation! Trusova sometimes has 3/4 revolutions of prerotation on her "quads" lol.
She's so talented! She will dominate the game for a long time if she stays healthy and focused. This combination is so hard!

whoa the slo mo
Tonya's 3A is higher and Midori's has more power and speed.
How do these coaches let them progress through without learning how to do the Axel right. It’s like Tara Lipinski’s Roller Skating Axel.

feyza kesilmis as well as midori ito (she’s done 3A+3Toe successfully)
Nicoelle Salim midori did not land 3A -3T in competition.

as long as she lands it, it doesnt look great tbh
quiddy. Wrong. There are many different techniques for the axel jump, it doesn’t necessarily have to be don’t the way you know it to be.

It's not the most ideal Axel technique but it definitely is better than Tara's. The closest to Tara's technique is that of Yulia Lipnitskaya.

Her coach is lesbian but the problem here is Hamada molests her students including Kihira
Hamada is married and has a daughter.
Hamada is married to a woman and she adopted a child
