In FY21, there were over 70,600 fentanyl-related overdose deaths in the United States, compared to around 40,000 in FY19.[36] In addition, pediatric deaths from fentanyl were 30 times higher in 2021 than they were in 2013 nationwide.

For the record, polling accurately anticipated the 2022 midterms. It showed, correctly, that Democrats were doing better than an incumbent party usually does during a midterm and that Republicans were paying a price for nominating lunatics. But so far they do not show that this year.

My aunt is so excited that she's going to the Republican caucus tomorrow night 🤮. I voted republican until John McCain and I regret that I didn't pay attention, but now I'm actively trying to reverse the damage of Republican policies of defunding schools, social programs, tech schools, community colleges, etc. There was a time when working 40 hours got you an apartment, car, and the ability to enjoy a night or two on the town.
