how would you best apply that stdev to each player to come up with a randomness value or range of outcomes to each player? Say my 8.8k player has a median proj of 41.32 and a stddev of 10.96. Additionally, what is the difference between stdev/30 and proj stdev of 1.91 for that same player for this specific game? Thanks
Standard deviation is the range of outcomes. For this example, a st Dev of 30 would give most results between 11 and 71 but the ending average should be 41. A st Dev of 1.91 would mean most results are between 39 and 43.
@@ExcelbyJoe I understand that. I am trying to understand how to apply a randomness factor that will differentiate my lineups. I have been using optos since they pretty much came out, but having a real hard time understanding how to use them (admission of guilt and probably why I have never seen any major hits). All of my peers have won 100k multiple times and most of prominent names in DFS now. I even have friends who have won millionaire makers 4x!! Something is missing in my process...:(
Is there a way if I'm comparing offense and defense between 2 teams and use both standard deviation of offense and defense to get a number between both teams? Ex...Bears offense with a stdv of 15 in total yards vs packers with stdv of 50 in total defense yards.???
do you mean game logs? you can download gamelogs for free at basketball reference but it takes some time to copy them. Big Data Ball sells them if you wanted to get them there too. are you looking to get standard deviation?
I enjoy your videos because they’re tremendous teaching aids.
