Latvia is one of my favorite Eurovision countries, so I decided to add comments to my top: Out Of This World 1. Aijā - A masterpiece and nothing less. Adore them 2. Heartbeat - It's such an amazing entry. The beat is infectious, and Justs' voice matches it very well. 3. That Night - It's such a calm and relaxing song, I love listening to it in the evenings 4. Beautiful Song - Unpopular opinion again, but I think this entry is iconic and funny. The naive protagonist of the song thinks that the song is the best thing in existence and that all the famous singers will want to collaborate with her after she wins Eurovision. Sorry, but how can one dislike such genius storytelling? Eurovision doesn't have many many ironic songs or songs about Eurovision; this entry is both. 5. Funny Girl - The song is very nice and classy. And Laura's style of performing matches it so well! 6. Hollow - I'm so happy for Latvia, finally reaching the final! The sing is amazing, but the Latvian version is even better, imho. Like them 7. Cake to Bake. Don't know how anyone can dislike this. It's such a sweet song with fun lyrics. And they even mention Central Park! (I live in New York City.) 8. What If? The performance wasn't quite there, but I still like the song. It flows well, and I like the accordion in the instrumental. 9. Love Injected. Unpopular opinion, thus had never clicked with me the the way it did with other people. Aminata's version is amazing, and so I'd the performance, but I just don't feel like listening to the studio version often. 10. Angel in Disguise. It's a joyful, catchy entry. The lyrics, though, are pretty weird. "Love me with luscious thighs?" 11. Line - A nice entry that definitely didn't deserve last place in the final. It's a bit too repetitive, though. 12. Here We Go - Pretty underrated by fans. It's fun, and I like the rap part. The over-the-top energy makes me smile. It's just quite a forgetful entry. They're alright, I guess 13. Still Breathing - Interesting drop, but this isn't my style either. 14. The Moon Is Rising - I like Samantha's dress, but her vocal is off, and the song is not my style at all. Don't like this 15. Eat Your Salat - Sorry, never liked it. It has nice ideas, but the execution is cringe.
First of all Latvia is by far one of the most underrated countries in eurovision. They should have qualified at least in 2023 and 2017 as well. My Top 5: 1. Love Injected 2. Aijā 3. Line 4. Heartbeat 5. Hollow + too bad 2020 was cancelled i think Still Breathing would have been crazy on the eurovision stage.
Love Injected, Funny Girl, That Night, The Moon is Rising and Aija are among my favorites of their respective years. Latvia is such a good Eurovision country!
My list: 1. Love injected 2. Heartbeat 3. Still breathing 4. Eat your salad 5. Hollow 6. What for? 7. Angel in disguise 8. That night 9. Aija 10. Funny girl 11. Cake to bake 12. Beautiful song 13. The moon is rising 14. Line 15. Here we go
