Cheers man. It really is an awesome statue but i think im in the same boat. With the announcement of a 1/3 CH coming too, I think i'll stick to one scale since all my favourite preds will have a 1/3 statue available.
Happy for you, but to this does not at all speak to me like the upcoming P1 does. Would pick up the Cinemaquette to stand besides 1987 P1. I assume we are at least 1 1/2 year out before P1 releases their new Predator masterpiece, it not +2 years.
The Predator 1/4 Maquette and the Cinemaquette are way outdated by the Big Game Cover Art Predator 1/4 or the new 1/4 Infinity Studios Jungle Hunter,they will way surpass these Statues,they was only Grails because back in time there were not good Statues like this,but now with the choice from Prime1 or Infinity Studios no one will ask for these Statues.
See, i wont say you're wrong. But there's a reason this statue despite being 13+ years old, and all the other good statues coming, that it is STILL worth $3K+ USD. Big game 1/4 dropped the ball big time. There's a reason it still hasn't sold out after 2+ years.
I agree to an extent, I do believe that the Prime one Jungle hunter 1/4th was outstanding and puts this one to shame. Idk about the big game. I do not own it. So, I can not say. I only review things I own. Seems this guy goes off speculation and hear say! Like the Prime one jungle 1/4 has such a presence to it. Some got bad statues with horrible paint issues with bubbles. I was lucky to get a flawless piece. So, owning the ss old maquette and now the P one. It isn't even debatable. I mean seriously. I mean we have opinions, I lean more toward yours. I love this ss piece but it is way out dated and seeing how good the other is. The ss piece is no longer a grail. I love it but I might sell it now. It was good for its time. But its time has run out lol!
I have it but Im sorry p1 puts it to shame. I have both and the new 1/3rd coming out. You say nothing beats it, ya your wrong. He is way to skinny! I love the piece. Don't get me wrong, it is a great piece but its not a grail anymore. Its outdated. Just like the cinemaqquette will be when the P1 1/3rd comes out. I bought the 1/4 p1 jungle hunter comic version and I think its the best one out right now. Easy, I have them right next to each other. Just outdated now, the ss one. But you can tell by looking at the new p1 and the old ss just how much P1 has evolved the piece. Plus, whats up with reviewing a twelve year old statue LOL!!! This was reviewed back then.
As stated in the video, I do agree Prime 1's sculpt and overall presence beats it. HOWEVER that paintjob let's it down big time. No one with a straight face can say that decals look better then airbrush work. If you do you're lying to yourself, trying to justify Prime 1 lying to its consumers. Again, not saying its a BAD statue, it just isnt a grail like this and the CM. Speaking of which, theres a reason these still despite all the new statues this still sells for $4K+ AUD. This will forever be a grail (like the CM) solely due to the history behind it Also, i didn't know I wasn't allowed to review old statues on MY CHANNEL. Not only do I do it because I own the pieces, I do it because there's literally a handful of good quality reviews out there.

So, your going off of pictures and assumptions and some people with bad paint apps. Unless you see a statue don't make a comment on it man. Seriously, no one gets a degree is speculation. Could the paint be better, hell ya! But its still so much better than the ss piece. I mean here I am looking at both of them right now. I mean the face on the ss one is so outdated its just kind of laughable now. Do I love it, sure. That's why I have it. But if I reviewed both, no way would the ss one even come close. It is more movie accurate because of the lighter paint. But I don't even use that sculpt anyways I use the bio mask. Anyways, I respect your opinion. However, I disagree. You have scene the ones that have had issues and followed the other so called experts who do not own the statue that just say what ever, but those that got a good statue. I haven't heard a complaint other than some flat paint. Which was an easy fix with a gloss. I mean I am even considering selling the ss one because I have no use for it. So we will see.

This piece really holds up. I'm in the camp of not a big fan of the pose, something about that arm angle. Idk, but still an impressive piece!

Fair enough. I do agree that the upcoming P1 is easily the best predator statue ever made. Let's hope it remains that way and is worth the wait
