Comedy without truly sincere moments where the punchline is suspended, albeit briefly, for a moment that is adorable and then used to deliver an endearing joke that is more sweet than salty is the essence of humor in this situation done right.

i stopped watchin the actual anime one episode before the events of this one because no more episodes were out and i thought it was over, so i have no clue if that little pug dying was in the actual show or not, but that shit was exceedingly depressing.
Having not seen that far into the official version, I enjoy wondering which parts of the visuals were changed by them. Best part is their's is so wild that I'll basically be watching a totally different show when I resume the other version.
As in everything else, they try to make up for what they lack by being mean as hell. Admitedly, it might have been more believeable if they'd used a chiuhuahua over a pug, but you work with what you have with editing (and as usual, they do some DAMN fine work here).
