Just moved to Chatham in March. This town is absolutely podunk. Be careful going out at night, the locals like to fight. However this video is very well done. I'm impressed.
Born in Chatham, you should of did a pit stop at Spankys Gentlemens Club, Then Share a few laughs with the locals in The Royal Tavern and wrap up the day with the Single Unemployed Mothers in the DCC Mall fighting over giant tiger coupons. Its such a lovely town as anyone with 1/8th of a brain has move out! The cheap farmers, generous seniors and East Side Pride group will turn the town around im sure!
So we have it on our list after watching the video and will visit after the covid restrictions are lifted. Seems a day trip is fine as we live in Milton.😊
While I do enjoy these videos, as a resident of Chatham, I’d recommend avoiding Chilled Cork. I’ve given it many chances and its sure to disappoint - they can’t even get breakfast right. Sons of Kent beer is also disappointing. I’d recommend Chatham Breakfast House and Grill - Churrascaria on Grande Ave instead. The real gem of the area is The Black Historical Society which was briefly mentioned, but sadly has to stand in the shadows of the clique Rob Meyers tour.
Oh I'm sorry to hear about your experience with Chilled Cork and Sons of Kent. I stayed a few nights at the Retro Suites and had many meals at the Chilled Cork and each one was fantastic. And the beer I had at Sons of Kent is some of the best in the province.
@@seeusoontravel Bayside Brewery Long Pond Lager is much better - they're in Erieau but Bayside's food is very, very bad. Chilled Cork probably made sure your meal was flawless because you're associated with media. I like the look of Chilled Cork but unfortunately its just eye candy trying to be something it's not.
@@femmef8tal918 my husband and I just ate there last weekend and it was fantastic! We're huge fans of the Sons of Kent, too. I guess it's all about taste. We've had both good and bad experiences at CBH. Rob Myers, though I don't know him personally, gives A LOT to our community. We're lucky to have a local success story who gives back.
@@seeusoontravel I would never have guessed that all that was behind the walls at the hotel!👍♥️all the foods look super! Yes I am starving again!😘👍♥️😊 Thanks!!
Lol, people really think Chatham is something, go to London or something actually interesting, as someone who has lived here my whole life it is the equivalent of going sightseeing at a birdbath.
@@seeusoontravel Chatham-Kent is always on my Google and Weather Channel map here in the states and I kept wondering why given that I've been to Ontario many times and never really heard of it. I get it now thanks to you...lovely spot!
How is the capital awesome? its a $23 million dollar waste of EVERYONES money for the benefit of the few (the drama smugs in this town).... we had a perfectly good cultural centre that served the same purpose. That theatre has been bought and sold for $1 now a couple times and the city no longer even owns it or can make money from it. Mamma Marias is an overpriced (ok) place.. youre basically paying for the atmosphere if you look at their alcohol prices compared to other establishments.
Stop by our mall with 5 stores left, come see the $23 million theatre that never gets used and can never book a good show, or, stop by and look at the bridge/condo project that have taken 10+ and 3 years to finish (The main reason most businesses failed downtown and Council just let the owner of the condo block traffic for 10 years). Coming off the 401? Well you'll have to drive halfway to Wallaceburg to get to any actual shopping. lol.. Save your money and go to St Thomas or Stratford/Petrolia if you're a small town vacationer. All you'll find here is fentanyl addicts, single unemployed moms sitting out front of the mall ALL day with their kids, and businesses on their last year of the lease and are leaving right after its done.
Video is well done but but due to a useless council that denys good ideas and agrees to help fund the bad ones; the city is going further down the toilet, that condo is the biggest embarrassment since the capital theatre the worst aspect of chatham however has not been mentioned the Dutch mafia aka chatham police are corrupt and have about 100 too many employed cops on the books draining the city of the few resource tax dollars to pay for usefull projects
I love how I Remember all of the areas you show in Chatham

Chatham, Where dreams go to die.

Fair enough, but consider for those who have never been, there are some fun things to do here.
I'm sure both are of equal garbage quality, we can throw Brantford in their as well.
@@dixonhill1108leave Brantford alone. God is changing it. So it’s no longer what you think it is!

This is well done. I would certainly entertain the idea of a joined-effort in a project together for our community small businesses.
Thank you! Feel free to drop me an email.
Its really unfortunate id have to drive all the way to Windsor for work
Nice work!

How big is this town or is it a city?
Yeah a city is more appropriate these days
I have a question I live in chatham and I just want to say that Chatham is a city with 123,000 people I don’t really think it is a town D:>
Yeah that’s fair. A ‘town’ is a stretch these days 😂
😂

Nothing to do in Chatham. You have to travel out of town to go do anything
You forgot the pineapple pizza
Birthplace of Hawaiian Pizza! Started by a Greek owner of a Chinese restaurant, so naturally it was named after an American state.
