I bought this game on or around launch day. I haven't touched it for over a month due to lack of time to play but i just got back to it yesterday. Man, it is good! Granted my 2 favorite in the series are GT2 and GT5 but this one seems to be getting up there as one of my favorites too.
I still haven't played it properly myself. I'm still on the campaign mode. This place called "work" keeps on calling me to do something. If that's not bad enough I work three jobs. Two career jobs and one straight job. So you can imagine how I hate my mobile phone. It never stops. GT4 was my favourite.

The main focus was and has always been collecting all your favorite cars provided in the games, so you will always have to challenge yourself in trying to find the right ways to get credits by racing without it feeling like too much of a grind.
Loving that they’re fleshing out the Suzuki lineup now. Hopefully at some point they’ll add in more road cars from them like the Alto Works and the Jimny.

No drivetrain swaps, and engine swaps are only available via roulette, and even then are only acquired as often as you see an entire flock of unicorns in New York City. Unless you can buy the engines to swap in now, that is. Sorry to say, but I don’t think many people will be able to build those beauts to their full potential.

I like having the liberty to swap in whatever engine will reasonably fit into a car, from shitboxes to sports cars, be it for a purpose the original car wasn’t designed for like offroading (combo’d with an AWD swap ofc), or to assist in making the car as lightweight as humanly possible, or just to outright push the car to its limits in power. And unlike Forza, handling seems to be the meta play in GT7 and not sheer power, which alone would balance most engine swaps. I’m still bittersweet about the new entry. On one hand, it’s a new Gran Turismo game, and the Escudo’s back after 9 years. On the other, more intrusive microtransactions than ever, grindiness that makes early GT titles look like Pokemon Let’s Go, and slip-ups that wouldn’t have been acceptable a decade prior.
I'm very confident that a new circuit is coming too. The schedule for the nations races doesn't name a circuit for the last race in the competition. That usually happens when there's a new track coming.
For the other Suzukis sure, but for the Escudo it’s more like the entire fanbase was paying Kaz to add it back in. Does Suzuki consider that Escudo to be a part of its racing lineage? Like, as much as Ford does its GT40s?

@@morce6163 in gt2 escudo was amazing at regular tracks as well not just dirt, it was still the fastest car around any track back in the days. however players should not celebrate yet as this will most likely be a massive legendary car which means they´ll probably slap a 20 million price tag on it or close to it, and with no tomahawk 600 pp available that´s a very painful grind

It’s basically a Le Mans prototype built for offroading. Honestly, the only reason its time on the Pikes Peak trail was ever eclipsed was because the newer records were made on the paved track while the Escudo had to do almost all of it on dirt. It’s a badass car irl, and a badass car in every Gran Turismo it’s been in. Sure, it wasn’t as potent in its more recent entries as it was in GT2/GT3, but it’s definitely not a bad car by any means in any Gran Turismo game.
What is so "cursed" about this is that time extend was doing a "greatest car of all racing games" knockout style tournament on twitter. In a 24 hours, it won that tournament AND kaz dropped this teaser. Surely this can't be coincidental ?
Maybe Kaz finally realized just how iconic the Escudo really was in the world of racing games. Just because its last appearance in GT6 was almost 10 years ago, doesn’t mean it’s forgotten. That, or Polyphony’s clutching their Suzuki license tight so that games like Forza can’t yoink the Escudo… even if the Escudo in Forza Horizon would be awesome imo.
Does the code list mean thats the only cars that PD will be adding to Gran Turismo 7? You said you liked vintage cars and I do too but I also like some big American V8s (03 Mercury Marauder, 96 Impala SS, the 2018 Chevy SS sedan, Caddy CTS-V)and some of the Aussie cars like the Holden Ute. I think cars like these would be fun additions to the game but if they can't be added, that's gonna suck!
The Alphard was a suprising addition. But then, if Forza had the Odyssey, why don't GT have a similar big ass MPV to compete against? Probably that's why.

I've been using the t300rs and thurstmaster load cell pedals..now I just got a fanatec CSL Elite non dd and fanatec CSL load cell pedals but the load cell on the fanatec is just to stiff so I tried a spring (red one) off of the thurstmaster TLCM seems to to work but I haven't used them yet I still have to bolt the fanatec stuff to my rig it just feels better with hand any advice on if this will work?? thanks and awesome vids can't wait to try these new cars out 👍✌✌
I’m tired of some of these cars being so shit, can’t the actually add modern sports/supercars or even race cars that people actually want to drive? The Escudo is very cool, but come on, the “latest” sports cara we have in the game are mostly 2016-2017 while we are in 2022, and they keep adding 2005, 90 hp, old Suzukis

In GT3, it had something like 1800 max allowing you to go up to 300 mph WITHOUT glitching, while in GT6 it had something like 1200 iirc and barely passed 200 mph. Here’s hoping the Escudo rocks our socks off like it always has.
It sucks that GT7 is so biased with only adding japanese cars. Majority of people would like modern Italian/German cars such as the Aventador SVJ, Huracán Performanté, Audi R8 and so on. I seriously don't understand Gran Turismo isn't focusing on these cars.

Escudo isn’t Gr. 3, unless you’re referring to the Suzuki VGT. If anything, the Escudo would be unclassed, or MAYBE Gr. 1 if regulations could be twisted and turned a bit. Also, I wouldn’t just drive the Escudo because it’s OP, but rather it’s because it defined an entire childhood of those who grew up with Gran Turismo on the PS1/PS2.

@@MorrWorm8 Group B won’t do the Escudo justice. Stock, it has 987 HP, and weighs about as much as a Le Mans prototype (read: about 900kg/1980lbs). It’d either be hilariously broken for Group B, or it’d be nerfed harder than its GT4/5 iteration. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. The Escudo makes Group B rally cars look like Priuses in comparison.

If the game was designed to not be grindy, they not only failed hard, they failed harder than literally every past iteration.

yea unlike gt sport, after a 3 car update all other updates provide 7 cars I mean wtf are they doing? No newer McLarens, no Bugatti Chiron, no updated Lamborghini Huracan, no newer Ferrari, no newer R8's, no Lexus LFA. And on top of that, the freakin roulette still rigged, ever since Day 1 I keep getting the lowest award possible in those rubbish roulette. Collected Gran Turismo games since the first one came out, this is the lasiest and the greediest Gran Turismo I ever played.
I would absolutely love it if they would add Pikes Peak to the game together with the Suzuki. I really want Hillclimb tracks back in GT!

Trasshhhhhh, need Aussie cars for the Aussie track in the game, gt6 which I still own has a sticker on it that brags about Bathurst and having V8 supercars.
I'd be surprised going forward if there aren't considerably older cars coming into the games. Just with how boring and lack of feel electric cars have. I'd bet they start to fill up the 60s, 70s, and 80s cars even more.
Give us more classic muscle cars... more late 80s and 90s tuners.. where's the eclipse, preludes, crx, talon, Lexus sc300 aka Toyota soarer.. Cressida... vw Corrado.. more infinitis... q70 would be cool..

YAAA, another OP GR3 Japanese car. I just need to quit racing online before I end up hating this game.
Escudo isn’t Gr. 3, unless you’re referring to the Suzuki VGT. If anything, the Escudo would be unclassed, or MAYBE Gr. 1 if regulations could be twisted and turned a bit.
Also, I wouldn’t just drive the Escudo because it’s OP, but rather it’s because it defined an entire childhood of those who grew up with Gran Turismo on the PS1/PS2.
@@camarokidbb4347 I’m talking about the fake car. The GR3 VGT Suzuki. The pikes peak Suzuki is awesome I’d say it will be a GRB if anything. The VGT GR3 I will never own or drive. As long as there are players happy out there then I’m happy.
@@MorrWorm8 Group B won’t do the Escudo justice. Stock, it has 987 HP, and weighs about as much as a Le Mans prototype (read: about 900kg/1980lbs). It’d either be hilariously broken for Group B, or it’d be nerfed harder than its GT4/5 iteration. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. The Escudo makes Group B rally cars look like Priuses in comparison.

@@MorrWorm8 I’ve seen a video where you could trial the Escudo for free, and it seems that the near-1000 hp twin-motor 800kg beast is back for real. No butchering for Group B here, folks, and I couldn’t be happier.
Actually, that’s a lie. I’d be happier if the costs in-game weren’t so damn high on average, and 99% of the races didn’t hand you pennies in comparison. If the game was designed to not be grindy, they not only failed hard, they failed harder than literally every past iteration.
Good they're adding cars. But, these cars are Niche cars. The Gr3 is convertible? WTF the Ford coupe is cool. I agree the early classic cars are limited in scope. The vgt cars are not interesting. Design concepts that are easy to make.

yea unlike gt sport, after a 3 car update all other updates provide 7 cars I mean wtf are they doing? No newer McLarens, no Bugatti Chiron, no updated Lamborghini Huracan, no newer Ferrari, no newer R8's, no Lexus LFA. And on top of that, the freakin roulette still rigged, ever since Day 1 I keep getting the lowest award possible in those rubbish roulette. Collected Gran Turismo games since the first one came out, this is the lasiest and the greediest Gran Turismo I ever played.
