    Turns out Muir Valley isn't just for climbers! There are a lot of cool things to see there. I especially like all the ice formations you saw. Thanks for giving me another one to put on my list. Nice job on the animations too!

      Thanks! The animations took a while, but atleast that was a 1 time deal. My next will possibly be animated text, then maybe some color grading!

      @@Smokeybeesnatural That is the nice thing about the software: it's time-consuming the first time, but after you get it down it takes no time at all. Good luck with the next experiment!

    Thanks for sharing! This is a cool area from the looks of it. We love hiking with our dog so this may be some time later. They say no dogs allowed in the nature preserve. You have been getting out there! Please keep posting, we appreciate it!

    Loved the video, well done and it greatly helped me with my research of Muir Valley. I hiked Muir Valley today (12/24/2021) and did Liz's arch, Sunnyside arch, Horseshoe falls, and Joe Ponder double falls. Absolutely amazing and not a soul in sight all day. But I noticed today that you didn't show the upper portion of the falls. It's above the right falls and it's impressive, easily 70' high. Getting to it wasn't easy and required navigating steep, wet, loose terrain using rhododendrons, but it was definitely worth it. And if you've come that far... It wasn't much worse than what you had to do to get to the bottom of Horseshoe falls. Thanks.

      When you say the Upper portion, did you mean Joe Ponder, or Horseshoe? It was pretty icy that day so I didn't want to do anything that might get me into a precarious situation. Thanks for watching and I'll definitely have to go back and see!

    I was there on the 14th, was your video shot on the 13th, if so there was much more flow the next day, the Joe Ponder Double Falls had 10x the water flowing than what you are showing and you missed the Big Joe Ponder Upper Falls behind the one at the right, about an 80-100 foot drop and beautiful ice formations at the bottom

    • @Smokeybeesnatural
      @Smokeybeesnatural  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, this was originally filmed on January 23rd. I would love to see them with more water flowing! Thank you for watching!

      @@Smokeybeesnatural oh, ok that makes more sense, there are more than 15 waterfalls there, I have not seen them all yet, lots more exploring to do, many are hidden, one of the developers was showing me pictures last week and of course most are rain dependant for good flow...I loved the lower Nellie's cascades on your video, I missed that

    Loved the video, definitely a lot to explore at Muir valley! I have only been there once and tried to find the double falls at Joe Ponder but couldn't find them, how exactly did you navigate there?

    • @Smokeybeesnatural
      @Smokeybeesnatural  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Take the trail past recess rock and towards washboard wall. Once you get to the split in the trail to multiple climbing walls, go ahead and drop down to the creek bed. Follow it to the falls.
