HUGE CROCODILE while fishing a secret lagoon in Cape York.

  • The boys are hiking into a secret lagoon chasing that elusive 1meter barramundi. With GPS coordinates and a hand drawn mud map out of a cartoon, it's bound to be a fun day. UNTIL they're stopped in their tracks by a monster of a saltwater crocodile. This definitely slows them down.

Great stuff guys. Luv ya work.....nothing like seeing a huge croc to get the heart pumping and the mouth go dry... I'm an SA man but on holiday in the NT many years ago with a mate happened across a really decent one at Shady which turned just in front of our tiny on the surface. Really gave a good impression of the size tip to tail....left a big impression of who was boss at that end of the pond. We turned around and didn't venture there again ;-)....anyway enough of my stories keep yours rolling. I'm enjoy every one and am looking forward to the next.

It's absolutely crazy how the Crocs are much more aggressive than the American Alligator! I've seen two videos of Alligators killing Crocs! The alligator is smart he grabs onto the legs of the Croc and death rolls until the legs pop off and after the croc can't fight back the gator takes him down and burys him under the roots and drowns the croc! I always thought that the Crocs would kill the gators but after the two videos I know better! Now one of the gators was a mother protecting her nest from the crocodile! But I definitely thought that the bully croc would kill the gators easily! But in both videos the Alligators went right for the legs while the croc bit all over the gators back and back of the neck!!!

Looks like you guys are fishing Deep Creek on Kalpowar Station. You will only get Barra early morning, just as the sun rises. There is always a resident BIG Croc there. Seen one in there (10 years ago,) over 6mtrs. It was pulling cattle into the creek as they came down to drink at sunrise or sunset. The ringers almost ran over it in the cattle truck as it was crossing the road between creeks. Waste of time fishing for Barra after 9am. Keep away from the edge of the creek !!!

Amazing lagoon, I’m wishing we had the hammocks and spent some quality time in there. Guarantee we’d get some good Barra. He was a bloody monster mate, so sorry we missed the action with the Gopros. Copped a bit about this but we’re learning and buying more gear to have the cameras rolling all the time. Dan sent the drone up later as we left the lagoon but when I got home to edit it the footage was out of focus! 🤦‍♂️. He reckons he didn’t see it through the screen anyway.
      Thanks for watching mate

Love your adventures and vids ... I’m a camo in Melbourne and could I suggest just being supportive maybe think of angles more from low to high when you set up for fishing... as in a mid to wide shot .. ...get your tripod when you spotted the croc so we as viewers can see better and the shot is more stable 😊..when you zoom in .. but I am a fan of your vids and the way tall your story 🤘🏼👍🏼🇦🇺

@@WildReaches average size for salt waters according to scientific journals and reports. Biggest on record was caught back in Philippines in 2013 I believe- a huge saltie called Lolong, he was 20ft 3in. U prob heard of him. But fishermen said he was wrong croc for the deaths of villagers, they flushed his stomach, but no human remains inside. Locals said the one responsible for the deaths, was much bigger around 29ft.
