- The first round of the 1995 Petronas Malaysian Rally Championship, held in the estates of Selangor.
This is the year where Petronas Eon Racing Team (PERT) have changed their fleet of rally cars (including the Proton Saga Iswara 4WD Turbo) with the Proton Wira 4WD Turbo (based on Mitsubishi's Lancer Evolution II Group N) along with their new livery design on their cars and Perodua makes their debut in rallying with the Kancil.
This highlight show was broadcasted on Malaysia's TV3 as part of long TV deals with Malaysia MotorSport Club (MMSC).

Bang Proton Wira menggunakan engine Evo 3
Tahu. Sebenarnya itu kereta Lan Evo II Group N dengan badging Proton je. PERT dapat kereta mereka dari Mitsubishi, PERT tukar badging je. Mitsubishi sendiri tolong homologate kereta tu, bukti (dalam bentuk homologation dokumen FIA) boleh cari dekat Google.

What was Group S in this championship back then??
This Group S (Malaysian Motor Sport Club's MRC regulation) is not related to FIA's Group S. The Group S in this national championship is made suited for local rally cars.
Not much I know about this Group S as I wasn't around during those times.
