I did the baggie method using ph7 water and it worked but took a long time to root and grow. I switched to ph6 water and had great success, now I got too many avocado trees. I also put them in dirt, seed above soil and outside in the sun when they're an inch tall. I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in America.
I have a partially buried seed with my avocado plant & it's thriving beautifully.. over 2 feet tall with leaves as long as my forearm.... absolutely stunning...the seed has almost fully disintegrated into the soil .... turning into compost in assuming....My tree is almost a year old....so burying the seed is not absolutely necessary, it's all in the care of the plant....in my personal experience..
I agree that this should have a larger sample in order to know for sure. I would like to see you do a video about brown spots on the leaves. I’m always wondering what it is and how to treat it if necessary. Grow on🤘
Challenging ideas and learning is how to grow (an avocado tree). If we just accept the first idea, or dont question things, then we dont understand it in the first place. Great vid mate, I've got a lil avo growing atm with its seed out, might go and just cover it incase.
I feel like the green water may have been an important factor that wasn't controlled for. To me it certainly indicates that there was excessive microbial activity happening for that one seed. Anyway... Avocado Mythbusters..? I like it!
I tried to germinate avocado seeds several times, didn’t work. I planted right away in the soil and in a few weeks it surprised me with a growth. Initially didn’t remember what was that I planted then realized it was avocado seeds after they showed off the soil.
Oh gosh Scott, I just got one of my avocado seeds planted , and I usually bury the seedmostly and don't leave it out of the soil too much, I am always so happy when they grow well and their leaves get so pretty looking. Thanks so much for showing us how to pot them up. I always have fun watching your videos, have a beautiful and blessed day, sending love and hugs, bye!! 😄😂😍🤩💜💜💜
Part of being a human is having a go, making mistakes and learning from them. “ “life is VERY morning if you don’t try things and if we are too scared to fail then we’re not going to achieve very much.” Thank you for life’s reminders. I have two avocados planted in soil in which the seeds are particularly buried. One is thriving (Avo). The other (Patience) is adjusting to being pruned. I’m in the middle of planting another, I think I’ll fully burry to the seed and do my own experiment.
I initially potted on avocado trees with the seeds sat atop the soil and roots buried. They lived and grew. After a year a video said they should be buried so I added more of my soil mix reluctantly burying the seeds. They're still alive and well at 2.5 years old.
I like this video❤️😁🤔🤔🤔yeah and it’s made me thinking, I have 7 small less than 1 year old avocado trees and I didn’t put the seed in soil inside and it’s on top of ground well and they do fine and really good, but yes it’s interesting I should try to put into a soil one of my trees and see what will happen 😶
My avocado’s seed is totally up the soil and the plant can’t be more happy and healthy. You need to work on more samples and many species for better conclusions.
Can we have a Scott grows a mango tree series? ☺️
Bet
Scott grows an AVOCADO tree not MANGO maybe he will make series in other channel
😂 I don’t think I have time for ANOTHER TH-cam channel
I love this idea 🥭 leave it with me
I have a mango seed waiting😂

I had an avocado tree taller than me in a pot with the seed half buried. We moved, so I left it behind.

That’s a very good point! I hadn’t accounted for the green water. Perhaps it was already at a disadvantage.
More testing to be done, perhaps!

That was an interesting experiment. Thanks for making this. It’s always great to learn something new and to get some unexpected results!

Your avocados are so healthy. I son’t know why mine get brown spots on the edges of leaves. Too hot or something?
That's was great, thank you.
Maybe the plants need a bigger container and a bit more water. Plus, a bigger sample. Just have more avocados. How big is the oldest avocado tree?
I think with partially buried seed the roots were exposed too?
hi, can you make a video about grow avocado seed in their fruit vs grow as seed.

I have a seed almost 30 cm .next step plz
Have you ever sprouted a tiny avocado seed?
I never bury my seeds and they are all just fines
I don’t think it matters
