Make sure the flat head of the gasket is facing down (to make contact with the portofilter) and the rounded side of the gasket faces up into the machine. It will be very obvious if you make the mistake of flipping the gasket- it will be very difficult to get the portofilter on the grouphead.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! This makes all the difference. Had it upside down and would only go to about 7-8 o'clock, while before it was dead on 6 o'clock. Easy mistake to make especially since other (La Marzocco) machines have it the other way around
Hey I just bought a Mara X what size is the E61 head gasket 8.0 or 8.5, the standard gasket is so stiff would like to replace with Cafelat Silicone gasket ?
When cleaning and reinstalling shower screen and gasket, my Portafilter has a rough time locking and unlocking. There are no leaks and shot is fine but before cleaning, the Portafilter just locked and unlocked smoothly. Any ideas?
Normally whole process is about 45 seconds to 1 minute… No need althese things. Just put the gasket and screen and lock your basket. It will do its job. That’s all…

If it’s the same as the lelit Bianca it’s 8.5
