I bought one back in Dec. of '16. I love mine. Took it on a trip with my motorcycle, just me and my dog. Covered a little over 3,000 miles across TX, NM AZ, and back home, near Waskom, TX. I learned a few things on that trip. I had packed way more than I needed in most situations, and not the right things in some others. My sleeping bag was a cheap one, that got replaced with a larger, and better bag. All in all, a great purchase, and very comfortable. I have now added a heater for these coming cooler months, and am looking at a couple of air conditioners for tents, but that's for next summer. Easy to tow with a small motorcycle, or a big one. Also easy to tow with a small car. I've towed it with my Hyundai Elantra, and I had to remember it was back there, because you couldn't tell! If you want to get out and camp, up off the ground, this is one cool way to do just that! I bought mine thru Open Road Outfitters in Ft. Myers FL. Very helpful folks!
I appreciate you taking the time to set this up and do the work to get a good camera angle on what you are doing. I bought a MIni Mate last week, with the awning, and additional room. Working on not being totally stupid on how to set it up before I go pick it up in about 6 weeks.
What's the name of it and where do you buy one where's that at 30 year old camper that they don't make no more let us know I'll take a couple of them be nice to put behind my quad when I go deer hunting
My goal is to have this set up before a friend of mine has his tent set up. I think I could make that time requirement, then sit and watch him work while I'm sipping on a beer or three.
I LOVE IT! HOW NEAT IS THAT? I REALLY LOVE CAMPING AND WAS HOPING TO GET OUR VAN ON THE ROAD SO WE COULD TAKE A ROAD TRIP BUT NEEDS TIRES AND SOME PART FOR THE FRONT END SO RICK CAN ALIGHT IT RIGHT. NOT LOOKING GOOD ON OUR FIXED INCOME. LOL! CAMPING IS MY FAVORITE THING TO DO AND HAVEN'T BEEN IN YEARS. ENJOYED THE VIDEO A LOT. KEEP 'EM COMING. LIZZIE
thank you so much LIZZIE glad you enjoyed it.i wanted to go detecting today but didnt make it out so i did a vid of it cause i had to get it up for the first time this year.
These are pretty cool, but other than the ability to sit inside, I think I like the idea of the Slipstream (th-cam.com/video/dzGWnicCigs/w-d-xo.html) better. I figure, after a day's worth of drivin', I wanna take the shortest amount of time and the least amount of effort to setup my kit...and it don't get much easier than a Slipstream...however, you can't sit inside like the Mini Mate. It's either this or (and I've done this before, a few times) boondocking in the back of my truck.
I love my mini mate just got mine can't wait to camp

Nice little camper but those little tires bike is going at 60 mini tires are going about four times the speed
How do you deep the bugs out? Looks like they could crawl onder the flaps and thru the door.

Been lookin for one for my Kia Soul to pull. Might work
Cal, can you take a closeup picture of how the canvas tent part is fastened to the fibreglass? Mine is all apart and I can't figure out the folds.

The Mini Mate offers right now an awning, and an additional room. That gives plenty of sitting space.
If you want quick, easy and roomy, look into Lees-ure Lite.
@@PalmdaleGal Hey that's a pretty cool one, too!
You move the camera so much it’s impossible to see it
Too much work
You need a mike.
A mic would be even better...
