You can mount the rear camera at the top of your rear window by running the cable up the pillar and into the rear camera from the bottom. Install the camera upside down, and in the software you can flip that camera in order for it to record properly.
What I prefer is creating a second fuse block that only uses a high quality relay (I think mine is at least 65a) for triggering when the key turns off some circuits; then I have a clean power source for both key triggered (on/off) and straight to battery through a large fuse. That secondary fuse block then prevents the wiring harness from being overloaded or damaged. My wiring harness had been damaged in several places and fixing those are not fun. I had been looking at FalconEye Blackbox systems (more for semi trucks) as there are lots of camera options; they also have non-blackbox systems as the blackbox are bit expensive.
@@decentgarage I need one under the hood, but I installed my secondary block inside the cab to handle an assortment of gauges, the power for the exhaust brake circuit, electronic fuel pump/filter, and meth/water mister (no longer using it though).
I know this is an older video but what tint do you have on the back glass. I was concerned about tint interfering with video quality but it looked great. Awesome video. 👍
The Novatech Processor just oversharpens the video way too much in the Viofo A129 Plus Duo dashcam...you'll see it in trees and all the artifacts throughout the video it produces...still good, not great...worth the price? On sale, 100%. Exceptional video and huge thumbs up on this!
I wish to pair multiple remotes to my A129 Plus but it seems to only pair with one. Is that a limitation? It would be nice to swap out just the camera between cars but keep the remotes taped in place.
Great video, I got mine installed today but my ignition fuse blew and when I tried to start my car it wasn’t really starting, when it did, the car turn off when I began driving. The guy then realized it blew and replaced it. He didn’t really explain how he installed it besides the fact that he’s never seen this model before. I sent him a msg asking if he used fuse taps. Any idea what happend? And how I can get him to fix it?
@@decentgarage thank you good sir. I have seen many negative recent reviews of this item. They say the rear camera has connectivity issues and that the wifi doesn't work. Have you had any issues?
@@franklogan494 I don't know why it says unavailable for you. When I click the link it is available... If you click the link for the hardwire kit or the lens filter it should show up in recommended items.
Is this something you would consider putting in your truck? Why or why not?

Interesting. I'll try that!

Interesting! I do have my external fuse block on the driver fender but it's constant power and not key on power.

Why not turn the rear camera upside down so the wire doesn’t interfere with trim above.
Only if you need the footage you can edit it and rotate
That is such a good idea! Then I can run the wires under the carpet. I'm going to do this at some point.
@@decentgarage and if things go well, you never have to pull the footage.
I guess you could eve put it sideways too.
Can you record 1080p60 front while using the rear camera?
Yes, you can.

Trade you for an 06 mega cab Cummins ?
