I love this podcast so much, I've watched every single one, been a fan for a long time, but there is one change yall did that is a real pet peeve for me, can yall please count down instead of count up when doing lists, it just makes more sense, especially for someone like me who can't always watch but instead listen to the podcast. It makes it easier to understand and rationalize rankings by starting from the bottom and working your way up to teams or players that are better and better. Instead of the best of one tier, then worse and worse and worse, then jump up to the best of the next tier, then down and down, it makes it hard to understand the difference between a 10th and 11th spot or 5th and 6th spot
What non Spurs fans don't really understand about the Spurs is that one of their biggest problems last year was that they had 2 of the top 10 worst defenders in the league in their rotation in Malaki Branham and Doug McDermott, and Cedi Osman isn't exactly a strong defender either. Now Castle and Blake Wesley will probably play the minutes Branham would, and we don't have Doug or Cedi anymore. Plus Tre Jones will come off the bench next year, who is a solid defender as well. The Spurs fixed a lot of defensive weaknesses this year and I imagine their identity will be that of a defensive monster with mediocre offense, similar to the Orlando Magic last year. Not saying they'll be the 5th seed, just don't be surprised if they sneak into the play-in past the Rockets, Warriors, Clippers, or even maybe the Lakers if all hell breaks loose.
Personally, I much prefer it when the rankings are counted down in order, like bottom to top the whole way through. Immediately hearing “OKC at 1” brings way less suspense than hearing a countdown to the #1. Obviously it doesn’t actually matter, I love the content! I just thought it might be interesting to hear feedback of your format.

Donovan doesn't make any sense. Dallas was ranked 1st in Defense in the 2nd half of the Season that carried to the Playoffs, and Luka is ranked 10th in the Playoffs in Defensive Box +/- and ranked 1st in Offense across the Boards and Advanced Stats.
Houston to me feels like a low budget post kawahii, post Lowry raptors before they started tanking. Freddy is Freddy, scoring has gone down a bit. Sengun is Paskal Brooks is like og I guess green is + Freddy is the same as Freddy of old + Garry Trent. Diff is if someone can be the Scottie
spurs fan here, so take everything i say with a grain of salt. but imo, the biggest thing that makes me think that they will be more competitive than a lot of others think is how they ended the season. they were able to keep it close with some of the best teams in the league, even beating denver in a game that was VERY important for them (even after the spurs were down 20 at the half). with a more functional rotation (cp3 being a MUCH better playmaker than tre jones, castle has looked amazing through the preseason, mamu and champagnie shooting pretty solidly), i think this team will be able to close out those closer games more consistently. obviously, i dont think theyre going to be pushing for a playoff spot or even a top 8 seed. but i think they can definitely make a push to a 9 or 10 seed, or at least be deep in that conversation.

I think people focus too much on the spurs record and assume they're awful outside of wemby which just isn't true their starting lineup was good like 17th 16th best last year and when keldon johnson came in that rating jumped up massively and they had a 30 point differential 127 offensive rating and 97 defensive rating. That was one of the best lineups last year and those guys had barely played with each other. The real problem was continuity, vassell missed a ton of games the year before basically half the season sochan only played like 50 games so they barely got to play together only 23 games all together with tre, sochan, Keldon, and Devin the year before wemby. Also a major problem to start the year was lack of spacing no one could consistently hit their shot until the asb where they actually played closer to a .500 team. Another thing is they were one of the worst closing teams leaving almost 15 more games they could've won and the main reason they lost those games were just being young and inexperienced playing with each other. Adding two vets and a top 4 pick to what could've been a 30 win team and i think they could definitely get to 40+ wins if they stay healthy and cp3 can actually play more than 50 games ia definitely in the realm of possibility. We've already seen that happen with Houston who only added FVV and brooks went from 22 wins to competing for the play in

it’s not really their fault that their schedule was made the way that it was. so if you’re saying they had a cupcake schedule to end the season that means that they had all their hardest games and stretches before that, before the trade, when they were a worse team, and super super injured, and they still closed out at 50 wins total.
