Ive been through drive thrus in nice cars and not so nice cars. The service doesn’t really change but it is a nice feeling when a worker asks about your car or compliments it.
I love that so much! I don't drive a new or super nice car, but it's MY baby, and that's subjective. The comments I get most are "cool car man" or "that color looks awesome dude!" For context, it's a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon in the Orange Crush paint color. Not a common thing, since that color was only available on the 06 SE models like mine. Definitely not a spectacular car performance-wise, I/H/E on it, but still close to 7 seconds to 60 and caps out around 145 of the 160mph on the speedo.. 😅 might be able to get 150 out of it when I get the downstream o2 sensor fixed, but it's always cool when someone starts a quick chat based on your ride. Had it just over 9 years now, and I don't care how much she hurts me, sunk time fallacy says she's here to stay lol.

Ex McDonalds manager here, it’s not a recording camera we see on the monitor while taking orders, it snaps a picture when we complete the order and he helps keep track of which car has which order in case people get mixed up with 2 drive through lanes. So really unless they’re watching the security camera in the office, they don’t know what car you’re in until your order has been taken
As someone who works in fast food, I can tell you we don’t care we just want to do our jobs and get you your food as fast as we possibly can so you’re happy until we don’t get screamed at

as a mc worker. we dont do it on purpose. we dont choose how much the food weighs. and the fast service was because we do something called "batch cook" which is where we pre cook it so it goes out faster and so we dont have to cook something for EVERY order.

Current McDonald’s employee here, ready to bust some myths: 1. The ice cream machine is old and it’s not down because we don’t want to clean it, they are just garbage, but my store got a new one. 2. Don’t be rude regardless, but we don’t spit in the food. Customer service workers don’t tell kitchen staff when there is a bad customer, we just deal with it and talk to coworkers when things slow down. 3. Food portions are not because we hate somebody or because you drive a nice car. Employees just make the burgers, fries, nuggets, etc the way we are trained to. Kitchen doesn’t know what the order/car combinations are, we just work there and assemble/bag/present the orders as they appear on the screen. Any other myths about McDonald’s I would be glad to bust!

Just to clarify smth, from someone whos worked at a mcdonalds in very recent time, most everyone cannot see you. The only one who may be able to see you is that sometimes the cashier in the back, who usually doesnt take a lane but may take lane 2 on quieter times or times with less staff, some mcdonalds have it setup where they can see the cameras, but they absolutely dont spend all their time breaking their neck looking up wondering what car this next guy pulled up in. The pictures you see on the order thing is the automatic picture the stall takes after we finish the order on the system side, at which point a lot of drivers would have already pulled off and you cant see the car in the picture, so we never really ever had a practical reason to look at those pictures for anything, and the only one they show up for is the back cashier, who again, usually doesnt take a lane.😊

The person taking your order and payment can see you (mostly so when you go to pay they can visually compare the person/car so orders dont get confused) but the kitchen employees who make the food can't see you, nor the ones that bag it (if it's busy, this is probably a different person to the one that hands you the food). Even if the person bagging it can see you, their job is to get you out as fast as possible - not to look through all the nugget boxes to see if one has an extra nugget for you I'm afraid!

Well, this is interesting data I believe you would heat better results if you dried this 100 times or so, which would give you more of a good estimate instead of one time where a certain mishap could have been made and they could have accidentally added more to the food instead of it being intentional.
