  • Hello everyone and welcome back to The Beatles Forever. I have loved looking at the books about the Beatles and finding out more about them from the people who knew them best.
Today we will see the Beatles through the memories of Peter Brown. He was a personal assistant for Brian Epstein and the Beatles' during the 1960's. He wasn't going to write a book, but he wanted to clear up some false information that kept coming out. He got the permission from all the Beatles to do the book. Let us see what he has to say.

Just so you know, Paul and Linda burned this book and called it crap. He said Linda's first husband was called Bob, It's Melvin. Claimed John Lennon was the oldest Beatle, it was Ringo. Said on the song "Ballad Of John And Yoko" that John played all the instruments and Paul played only the drums, Paul in fact played drums, piano, bass guitar and backup vocals. Brown also claimed that Paul replaced most of Ringo's drumming because Ringo wasn't good enough to be a Beatle. Even Paul has said that Brown was way off base. Brown spent all his time in the office, not the studio. Anyone using this book as reference material should really use Mark Lewisohn's book as truth. Mark is the only approved Beatles historian. Mark took all his song/recording information straight from the Abbey Road log books. They tell the truth.

Peter Brown and Steven Gains have a new book out April ninth called All You Need Is Love:The Beatles In Their Own Words and it's based on extensive interviews with Paul, George, Ringo, Yoko and others close to them and these interviews took place in 1980-1981 and it's already a best seller on Amazon months before it was released.

I've always read that Cynthia said that one day, when the boys went to another tour she was just left behind in a crowd on a train station somehow. And that was the last drop. She was fed up with everything. I've never heard about this Yoko in the kitchen having breakfast scene.

Did you see Pattie Boyd's recent auction at Christies? She made over 3 million dollars. I thought of you and I had wished that I knew about it earlier so I could tell you to check it out. I learned about it after the fact by watching a video with Pattie and the Beatles former tour manager, who I think her name is Christy or Chrissy. I have a hard time understanding John, the more that I learn about him, especially when it comes to Julian. I do have respect for him as a musician though. Astrid Kirchherr admitted to supplying them with Preludin too.

Thank you for your comments. I did see an brief article about the auction. John was something else. I do feel sorry for Julian. He didn't get the attention from John that Sean did.

@@thebeatlesforevermaybe it’s a blessing that Julian didn’t grow up with his Dad around. Some men couldn’t be a Dad. They could father a child but no guarantee they could be a Dad.

Maybe you're referring to the interview Chris O'Dell recently did with Pattie Boyd about the auction? Chris O'Dell worked at Apple and she inspired George Harrison's song " Miss O'Dell ." Chris O'Dell is interesting to listen to talking about her time working with The Beatles. I think her book might be a good read too.

More proof that Yoko was just a weird desperate artist who would have dug her nails into anyone who was rich & famous, and John fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

10:44 AC|TUALLY!!! In 1965 John said in a private interview that Pete was missing a lot of gigs in Hamburg because he was often sick from taking too many pills. Pete Best sued John for this, but didn't get the amount of money he was expected. He even contemplated suicide ( and I always find these "suicide contemplation" very ironic as they are nothing but miserable attention seeking calls, and nothing more. )

I have a Word Press blog called John Lennon Became A Feminist & Nurturing House Husband & Father Thanks To His Relationship With Yoko Ono.
And I included all of the links to all of the great important pro-femenist interviews with John from 1971-1980.

I don’t think so…John’s first guitar was a Gallotone Champion. Not only are there pictures of it in circulation, but he’d play banjo chords on it….this dude is clearly playing a barre chord.
