This is the kind of movie the adults would show in home economic classes. It was their attempt to give teenagers other options at their get togethers, to stop them from raiding their fathers' liquor cabinets and listening to that soul damning rock and roll. It had the opposite effect.
A party line was a shared line among more than one residence. Any of the homes could use the line. Each house had it's own ring (an ancestor of ring tones) so that you would know for whom an incoming call was intended. One house would have a single long ring, while another would have two short rings, for example. My family's cabin in the woods was on a party line when I was a little kid. I think there were 3 houses on it. I don't remember there being a way to know if someone was using the line when you wanted to make an outgoing call. I think you just had to pick it up and see if you got a dial tone, or if someone was talking.
Thank you for this video! It’s amazing to see it paired with the actual video. However it’s kinda weird that most of your channel is Patrice O’Neal stuff, something with soldier boy and this one clip of opie and Anthony 😂

Agreed. He certainly plays the straight man, and there really is nothing wrong with that. The show needs it. Piriathy assumed wrongly that I am an Opie hater, and he couldn't be any further from the truth.

“Jimmy cracked Margie cause the soup was cold” is a classic
"The neighbor Erik has walked in and said 'I am.'
I remember I got this on my recommended feed almost 2 years ago. I never listened to O&A before but I’ve been a fan ever since.
I saw the title and wondered how long it would take Ant to make a racist comment. Happy to see it took all of 10 seconds
I was betting on racism and the old school announcer voice. Both were within 10 seconds lol
Ant never disaapoints me in that area.
He really showed restraint, waiting that long.
