how do you make the handle???

How much back cord would you use for a 40 inch leash?
Thank you for the comment. Unfortunately I am not great at math so I stopped trying to calculate how much paracord is needed for a certain project since I was giving out wrong information. However, if you make a 1 inch section of knot you can use that to find out how much paracord you used and calculate how much you would need for a 40 inch leash.
I'm a little late to this, but for the Cobra/Solomon knots, your general rule of thumb is 1 foot per 1 inch of bracelet/leash/belt or whatever you're making. This also varies on how tight you tie, but if you keep it tighter, you'll have some extra on the end for a fancy loop pattern on a leash.
