The sand is not white like the AL/FL, it's more tan, but still soft
Took us 1 hour 40 mins to get there from Mission, TX. Did have the morning "rush hour" traffic, so that slowed us down.
Cloudy until we got closer and then mostly sunny
Make sure you have 4-Wheel Drive
