I thought that I knew a lot about these razors coz I'm from Greece and I've seen a lot of videos till now but... Man... Your presentation is really exceptional. Perfect video quality! For a couple of seconds I felt like i was holdin em razors in my hand.
@therealslimshaver thank you! Your comment alone made buying the new phone mount for videos worth it. I wanted to put viewers right there with me. Glad you enjoyed it.
I think you will enjoy the Athena after our chats about how you were looking for something a bit more efficient than the GC .68P but still gentle, the Athena is exceptional, it beats the GC .68P in efficiency by quite a lot but remains pretty mild and gentle in terms of comfort. Keep in mind, you might have to use a slightly steep angle with it.
I think if the lather is pasty the athena would clog up easily even more if shaving a beard growth of more than 3 days, due to the lack of lather channels.
@Saguarosmart4100 I’ve learned not all closed combs are aggressive so I’m actually more curious about that one. I’m starting to wonder if I don’t love the feel of heavy razors or it’s more just how they feel and it’s coincidental they are also heavy. The alpha, Rex konsul still seem too blade forward for me. I feel like I’m on eggshells the whole shave. Yet I didn’t feel there was any earth shattering efficiency there to make it worth it. I need to use both a few more times. The rex konsul video will be out this week.
SS razors are made in special orders. If you want one, you should contact Theo at Lambda razors and sign up for one. I believe the same is true with Copper and Titanium. Be aware that even with a request, they are sporadically made. I have the SS Athena and the Bronze Ares. Just awesome razors.
@hugescahuzac6396 this is 100 % not true. There are over 100 double edge brand blades currently available all over eBay , Amazon, and countless online retailers worldwide. There are more double edge blades available than any other style shaving blades. They are just not readily available at common local stores anymore.
@huguescahuzac6396, maybe you are unable to find double edge blades because of where you are (but they ARE plentiful at online retailers of shave products). Some regions do have traditional retail shops, drug stores, grocery stores, "beauty supply", some other kinds; and depending on which or where you go, you may find often very easily d. e. blades such as Van Der Hagen Ice Tempered, King C Gillette (I believe platinum coated), Bevel, Derby, Personna. If more variety is what you want, then the online retailers are what you need to shop onto.
Great first impressions video. Really beautiful razors. Will be waiting for the review to drop.
Gorgeous razors right there. Happy Easter Brother.

@@Stubblemeetssteel they sure are! And thank you as well brother!

Those razors look gorgeous John! I’m curious to see if the lather builds up on the sides instead of the front and back.
@colletteclassic you and me both! We will see very shortly here. If it does I’ll try a not so dense lathering soap and see if that helps any.

@@StubblemeetssteelYou would live there Ares. Use a shallow angle and you barely feel the blade. It is a real engineering marvel.
B-E-A-U.tiful razors!!
I don't recall; do they make the Athena in SS? That's the one I'd get, then...
Have a great Easter!
🤜💥🤛
@sigsolo yes they do make it in 316L, titanium, and copper options as well.

@@WallyPankowski-wd8gbI wonder what the price premium is for the copper Ares?
@@Stubblemeetssteel I really don’t have any idea. You should contact Theo at lambda and ask him price and availability.
