The Serbia women's national volleyball team is governed by the Volleyball Federation of Serbia and takes part in international volleyball competitions.
FIVB considers Serbia the inheritor of the records of SFR Yugoslavia (1948-1991) and Serbia and Montenegro (1992-2006).[citation needed]
The Olympic Committee of Serbia declared the women's national volleyball team the best female side of the year from 2006 to 2011.
Serbia earned a silver medal at the 2016 summer Olympics and won the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship.

Every single player of this team is a star. The world's best national team. As a Turkish, I am very lucky to see many Serbian players in Turkish league. Maja Ognjenović and Milena Rasić are playing for Vakıfbank İstanbul, Tijana Bošković for Eczacıbaşı İstanbul, Brankica Mihajlović and the new transfer Bianka Buša for Fenerbahçe İstanbul. This is the golden generation for Serbia. 🇷🇸💙🏐🇹🇷

Boskovicka je najbolja igracica svih vremena. Vec sada je jasno da ce po zavrsetku karijere to i definitvno biti. Takav talenat radja se jednom u 100 godina. Bez nje nijedna titula ne bi bila moguca, svaka cast drugim curama, ali Tica je predvodnik ovog tima.
