Awesome video dude. I gotta make a wall of text so i'm sorry about that but here goes: I've wanted a car like this since i was a kid. Both since I grew up with Knight Rider and love the 80's era in general. I got my driver license late (I was 28) and last year (when i was 31) i got my first car. A 1988 Firebird GTA. And your videos was one of the things I watched when I was deciding if I was gonna go buy it and risk losing my girlfriend (she thought it was a pretty stupid idea). Anyway I got the car and i still have the girl. So it was worth the risk. So since its my first car and its in pretty good condition overall, i have also some issues about the engine heating. I dont know if i have a problem really. The car works fine but my dash shows the themp all over the place. Sometimes its 190, sometimes 260 and the dispenser? (Plastic box to the left) that says "engine coolant" sometimes filled above "Hot full" and sometimes under.
I know you covered heating problems before but my question is: how do i know I have an heating problem or a pending problem.
Sorry if im confusing. English is not my first language.
    Love your channel.

Hey Kris! Thanks! Did you test your temperature sensor and your fan to make sure both are working properly? I'm pretty sure my fan kicks on right at 220 degrees Fahrenheit. If everything is working properly, it's possible your gauge is broken.

My GTA, Camaro and Fiero all LOVE to run up to 220 just to screw with me. I'm always turning on the heater to draw it off the engines. The fans do work on all of them but they won't turn on until they are over 220 and most of the time after I shut them off. My Camaro up and quit at the BK drive thru for no apparent reason today. It has 39k miles. Thought I was out of gas. It took 8 gallons. I don't know man. These are fickle cars for sure.

Yeah! So 220 is normal for me, but as soon as it starts to pass that point (even by a couple notches) I know something is up. The owner before me hooked up an electric override for the fan, but I disconnected it when I was redoing a bunch of stuff on the motor.
