30 years DX2 CPUs

Hey folks,
let´s celebrate a special event namely the 30th anniversary of the 486 DX-2 CPUs. Yes, back in 1992, on March 3rd, the 486DX-2 series was officially launched by Intel.
Thereafter, double- and multi-clocking became the new standard - till today!
I will explain the short history of these chips along with various examples from Intel and other fabs.
I am de-lidding three DX2-66 CPUs and show the fascinating microstructures using a microscope!
