Where did you get the server field from?

Is there a way to force unifi to update the record?

Once you create the A + Dynamic DNS Record in the advanced DNS area of your domain, then you can do all the other steps Willie says and it works. Was almost instantly updated on my UDM SE and it worked through double NAT, which none of the other DDNS services I’ve tried did.

Trying this with a UDM-Pro, I enter the info as either given or set up like the video, and the settings wont save. Says something was entered incorrectly. But it matches your info, minus my domain info and password it generated.

Straight-forward & worked after the 2nd attempt on my UniFi Dream Router. Thanks for the video!

Can you add additional ddns entries for different sites? This was what Google domains offered, you can have multiple ddns entries for different sites pointing back to a specific sub domain name.
Also the password should be unique to each ddns entry and shouldn’t be able to be used as an account login. I don’t see an issue this way.

Hi, I checked on Unifi Security Gateway Pro SE and it does not support one DynDNS provide in Multi WAN setup; i.e. configure NOIP on WAN1 and try to configure NOIP (different hostname
    of course) on WAN2.

is there a way to see a log on the Unifi UDM SE? I can't tell if it acknowledges. I moved over to namecheap as well but the dynamic dns doesnt work for me.

Is the server value necessary? I have that value blank and my ip address is updating correctly..

What about instead of namecheap, do it with cloudflare domain?

You have to be on a business plan with cloudflare so you can use their API. It does require a script and isn't advertised, but it is possible.

Unfortunately these instructions do not work for a UXG-Lite.

No issues with Namecheap from Google Domains on my UXG lite. What issues are you having?

you forgot to mention the benefit of this? why should i need this DNS setup?

If your public IP is dynamic and subject to change this gives you a name you can access and this keeps that DNS record valid when the IP changes. Great when you're hosting something, especially VPN.
