Hi! Yes, Ive had the Alpha U for more than 2 years and I've never had any issues with it luckily. Every software and firmware update gave so much improvements. Simagic is really trying to improve their software. The alpha U i believe would be a massive jump vs the csl dd.
Thanks! I think the Alpha U would be my end base for PC. I don't see how I would ever need to upgrade. I normally operate it at 40-45% and it never heats up. Sometimes at 65% with vintage racing. The QR is also superb and gives me endless options for wheel rims. You can't beat the small size profile of the base. Its just a question of reliability over the long term. I think I got one of the first units outside china; and so far Ive been lucky to not have any issues. We'll see in a couple of more years.
