Great video and demo. Is it possible you can film a separate video with a camera pointing at the radio while having another camera recording how the plane react so we can see exactly how each tricks works (for beginners like me). Thank you
Honestly I wish you guys could bring out some new umx warbirds. I miss the umx spitfire etc. Also my favourite was the beast & I never got the chance to buy any of them before they were discontinued 😭
I only hated the micro servos and micro receiver on that plane because it made it harder to install other systems and buying the cable adapters were expensive.
Local hobby shop can't keep this thing in stock. Sells out asap. At the local flight park people who don't do 3D were doing 3D with ease. Very durable, I finally got my mine after pre-ordering it but due to inclement weather haven't flown it. This plane is a game changer, it's extremely durable, big flight times, can really withstand wind, brushless, and all on a 1s lipo. I can't wait to see after this technology what 1s lipo umx planes they come out with. I can already see many warbirds, a champ 2, and other planes coming back with 1s brushless with safe and as3x.
I fly around 15 years with RC Planes, heli's and Wings, and it was again time to buy myself a new toy to have Fun with because due to Corona most RC clubs are closed in Belgium so another big fast plane that hits thé +180km/u was not really an option.... I went to thé RC shop with thé new midsize eflite Habu jet (ducted fan) or new V1000 from eflite in my head. Then my eyes felt on a very very nice small box with thé Ultrix inside.... And i Remembered this video from it. I liked it in this video but i tought there where Better alternatives for a park flyer.... Till i saw how small it was!!! Thé box with thé plane inside can easy in any plastic bag or backpack so i tought this is perfect to take with me when i go to thé park walking with my dog... After my first flight i was so impressed of thé power, manouvrability and Handling that i was in love after 1 flight!!!! I'm so happy i gave this little devil a Chance !!! Even for experts it has challenge enough and you can take it with you everywhere and fly anyware!!!! For this price and thé Fun you get from it , is it a plane that YOU HAVE TO OWN!!!! SO MUCH FUN!! 👍👍👍👍 THUMBS UP HORIZON
I'd like to see it harrier and hover in a tight space :). That looked like a flat spin.. it was hard to see. I wonder if differential thrust can work like a rudder and do some KE. I guess I'll have to get one to find out :)

PLEASE PLEASE tell me you are going to make an FPV version or somebody show me how to put FPV on this thing. I'm quite well known for tuning and flying micro quads and Tiny Whoops, and something like this with FPV would just be killer. Is range typical DSMX range like in your old Tiny Whoop style Inductrix quads?
Flew the umx timber as a beginner plane , can’t find any other umx craft like the cirrus or the delta ray . I hope this is suitable as a intermediate craft despite it looking like a toy
Watched your video a bunch of times, enough to make me buy this little guy. Maidened it today, not the same plane. You described SAFE being expanded to allow a lot more movement about the flight axes. Mine bearly banks at full stick deflections, just nice big lazy circles. AS3X Low & High switch positions give me an unstable wandering mess. Set up my iX12 per the manual, on B switch. Is there a software update I can download and apply? Scratching my head.
Rates also affect how much control you have when SAFE is turned on. Make sure you are using high/100% rates when flying in SAFE mode for maximum control. That said, you may want to use low rates when flying in AS3X mode because it will have even more control without SAFE turned on!

Shortly after I posted my initial comment I did a pushrod adjustment to add up reflex to the Elevons while in the AS3X only modes and also shoved the battery as far forward as possible. Whole world of difference! Love this plane, so much so I’m awaiting delivery of a second one right now.
@Horizon_Hobby: 1. Can you sponsor a recycling program or reusing program with the foam since it’s non-biodegradable. 2. I would love to see you bring back: EFLU4950 3. PKZU1580 that uses Safe/AS3X on a 2S setup that pairs with the P-51 that you currently sell. 4. Bring back EFLU4380 or bring Safe to the UMX warthog. 5. EFL6350 This was my first non-micro plane. It flew amazing, sounded amazing and was able to install a “bomb-drop” system to drop parachute figures. Once it broke, I couldn’t find the parts to fix and threw it away. Would love to fly this plane again. It was so fun.

Can you turn off the AS3X on this model? I want to turn it on when I’m launching, flying and landing. It’s hard to make repairs on airplanes because the AS3X keeps twitching around when left on to reset the servos.
Most AS3X Rxs won't twitch and have the AS3X active until the throttle has been moved above 25% once. Don't move the throttle before doing adjustments and you should be OK unless this model is different. I don't know about programming this model's Rx with the SPMA3O65 (with UMX adapter) or the SPMA3060 for UM models. But there is a programming port on the left aft corner of the Rx. If it can be programmed with one of those programming cables, set the gains for ROLL, PITCH & YAW down to zero on the Flight Mode you want AS3X and SAFE to be OFF. I've done it with the AR636 Rxs and have my FM1 set to zero gains so there is no AS3X on it. FM2 has AS3X only and FM3 has SAFE ON. Hope this helps.

I need to investigate an issue with mine. Every mode seems to be SAFE Select?!? Cannot loop or roll in any mode. Otherwise, the plane is a hoot to fly. Love it.
First: great video! 1S and light plane so is an entire new line of 1S planes possibles or are the motors so low power that all planes will need to be twins? If so, then Mosquito and P-38!. t EPP also, but looks to be molded unlike 3d foamies. Finally, a small correction "very unique" is sorta like being "a little bit pregnant" :).
