    Hi. If I have to cut 50 squares for a mini quilt, do I have to use a stabilizer or can I just put the fabric on the mat?

    Linda, would an air explorer 2 also cut fabric? And is vinyl something you use for iron ons onto fabric?

      As far as we know you have to have a Maker to cut fabric. You can use iron on vinyl for fabric.

    I definitely got to get me a cricut. Could this be done on a original cricut or cricut 2? Thanks for the video

    Corey or Linda, the rotary blade you use in this video, what Cricut machine are you using? I have a Cricut Explore Air 2 so I was wondering if the blade you show in the video would work for my machine? Suggestions?

      Hi Janis! We are using a Cricut Maker. The rotary blade tool is currently exclusive to the Maker machines.

    What model is this machine in the demo please?

    I had just watched a video before finding yours that instructed to remove the plastic top to the cutting blade assembly. Watching here, it appears you left that in place. Does it matter which way you do that?

      Hi there! We recommend that you leave the protective gear cover on the rotary blade attachment:)

    It would have been nice if you had a bright yellow pointer when explaining on the the laptop/iPad as it was hard to see where you were going ? For a newbie!

    I would have cut the circle out of the flower and then cut a slightly larger circle of the contrasting fabric and put it under the flower.

    I thought you didn't need a backing to cut fabric on the maker

    • @LindasElectricQuilters
      @LindasElectricQuilters  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are correct, you only need a mat and fabric. We used Steam-A-Seam on the back of the fabric so it would cut the exact shape as the fabric and then we could easily apply it to another piece of fabric for an Appliqué.

    • @cherylwhite654
      @cherylwhite654 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LindasElectricQuilters ok so you're saying it won't cut exact shape or be applied easily without the backing ?

    • @LindasElectricQuilters
      @LindasElectricQuilters  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Cheryl! Not exactly….. Your Cricut maker will cut an exact shape of fabric without the steam a seam backing material. Corey chose to go ahead and back the fabric with the steam a seam material so he wouldn’t have to do separate cuts or cut the steam a seam by hand.
      It’s completely personal preference, but that’s how he chose to do it:)
