Senses fail along with bayside are two bands that I feel don't get the recognition they deserve. This is such an amazing album. For those putting it down, give it some time to grow on you.

There was limited time + resources, and SF couldn't be in it because they were touring / unavailable. Live action video of the band performing THE FIRE hadn't officially been shot / released when this was made.
I think non of us, including the band, had any idea this songs meaning would reach farther than the video. Its easy to say in heinsight, that it should have been more. But it is what it is.

I love this video. It's original in its genre and I find it somewhat connected to the music video to "Rum is for drinking not for burning" - graphically that is, which I liked a lot as well.

story was that they had shot a video for this in new york back in sept 2010 i beleive but buddy had said that video didnt come out as expected so this was released instead. I hope we can get to see that other version one day

Why does this song have so many dislikes?! It's ridiculous, this song is so full of hope and the video is sick as well! Listening to this at 4 in the morning and I have such goosebumps!

When I started scrolling through the comments I definitely felt like the kid on the playground getting hammered on. I hope some of the pissed off fans put some of that energy toward something creative. The video was featured on Communication Arts home page where it got good reception, but a lot of the SF fans didn't connect with it. thx again

I really liked this video!! It gets your attention, and I think it was a good choice going for something more edgy and creative. Props to the band and the director! I noticed that a lot of fans are pretty upset that the video didn't turn out as they expected, but if you are truly a fan, you have to respect the band's decision on a video they feel best represents their music. If you don't like it, at least respect all of the people that put their hard work into it.
I'm really starting to think that this entire song is about their label. And how their taking away everything, and how Senses Fail is starting to be scared about all of it. Because just from listening to Senses Fail for the past 5 years there is NO way ANY of them would release something like this.
This song had a DIFFERENT video being filmed...I was invited with a bunch of people to mouth the words to the song, in NYC way back. Had a lot of fun in front of green screen, met the band and drank orange juice. Too bad they never aired that footage I would love to see that :(

I have no idea (why first video was scrapped), and I wasn't even aware of the scrapped idea (till later). I found out about that after my video was released, from the annoyed fans that were hoping / expecting to be in the video. I DO know that there are loads of factors involved in these things, so it's not that unusual for a label to change directions on a video... that said, I wish someone had told me about it earlier.

I love Senses Fail and have been a fan since the start but I could hardly get through the first minute of this video. I love the song and have always liked their music videos in the past but this is just shit. I really hope they come out with something better. I love senses fail. I will ALWAYS love them and respect whatever decisions they decide to make. I won't lie though, I am extremely disappointed with this video because it displays no meaning what so ever. But, it was THEIR decision if they didn't think the previous video they had made for The Fire turned out the way they had intended. It's a fucking music video, WHO GIVES A SHIT! Their music is still amazing so who fucking cares about some shit video. I still love them regardless.
they still do, actually, JUST as much. Just some songs are less...aggressive so to say. His life is getting less fucked up as the years pass. so he feels less grief in his heart.
