today we go and install a new exhaust system on the project fox if you do go on to enjoy this video don't forget to leave a like and subscribe for more VW Fox Content #vwmk1 #vw #vwfox
Back in 1991, I owned a silver Fox sedan. It had an M3 style rear wing on deck with 15x7" polished 5 star wheels 195x50"x15"and a 4spd manual transmission she was beautiful. You don't see them on the road anymore.
Hey bruh please consider doing a video addressing the cost of taking on such a build , engine rebuild, exhaust etc ... Planning to get my first Citi golf soon ... Lot's of love from Botswana 🇧🇼🔥🔝
I got a 1.9 too. 1.6 block with a 1800 crank and 83.5mm 2.3 microbus pistons. It's easier if you start with a 1800 block because you won't have to change the crank. My costs are as follows: -1.8 crank R1800 -2.3 pistons R1500 arco -mahle rings R700 -Kolben schimdt big ends bearing were around R400 -Kolben Schmidt mains bearing r400 -2l cylinder head 2000 with intake -Gas flow head 3800 -Gasket set payen bottom one 500 midas -Gasket set top payen R550 (don't remember correctly) -kolben 2L oil pump 500-600, modified the pump pickup because it's too long in short block. You can use you 1.6/1.8 oil pump -viper 4-2-1 branch 2800 -dictator std management 3200 (mine was carb, I converted to efi. You can save by keeping it carb) Plugs ngk bpes6 zn 160
Also forgot to add you will need to pay for the rebore of the engine block, then the pistons will need to be machined so that they sit flush with the block.
Car sounds nice bru, try to fit a bigger tubing between your down pipe to first box 55mm then from your first box to back box 57mm or 63mm. Try to get you some smaller wheels too, preferably the 15inch alloy velocity rims or polo playa 14s with a nice 60mm drop in front for future upgrades.
Ahhhh shit, I actually have that same problem after I installed my coilovers, maybe 40mm drop can work. Question, are you running standard management or dictator or any other aftermarket ecus?
@@Tom-p9y the block has been bored out to fit 1mm oversized microbus pistons paired with the 1.8 crank. With the block being bored out to this size, it takes the engine from 1796cc to 1897cc making it 1.9
Fitting in bigger pistons doesn't necessarily make it a 1.9 bro.. I might be wrong but you need to change the actual crank itself to a 1.9tdi crank in order to make it 1.9cc. Right now it's 1.8 with oversized pistons and a 1.8 crank.
@@Tom-p9y now if you change the crank from a 1.8 then you aren't going to be doing 1.9 anymore. The 1.8 crank is the only crank you can use when you want to do a 1.9 The 1.9tdi crank is marginally bigger than a 2l crank and it won't work with these pistons because I have a short block. vwclub.co.za/forum/viewtopic.php?t=55858 this thread has a bit more information

Will do a break soon but I see @fury_boy did one already and it's majority spot on to what we paid

Your paps kills me. 2ltr boss!! 😂😂😂 Sounds lekka.
He only wants a 2ltr😂😂
Ay yo are you From Sydenham ??? Nice videos bro nice to ses some local content
Yes I am. Thanks man appreciate it
Let's goooo fox sounds amazing bro🎉 question is when you lowering it😀
Once I get a new set of wheels😂
I love the fact that father and son build this fox
Thanks man
Sounds so good 🤤😏
🤤👌Sounds soo Good man!
Thank you
Sounding sweet now
Thanks man
Sounds nice🔥
Thanks
How much is the system

Reason for the drop that the car don't lift up when you pull away fast and to keep the weight down and better grip
Wheels are planned to come not sure when though. The only problem with a 60 drop my car won't be able to make it up my driveway 🤕
Ahhhh shit, I actually have that same problem after I installed my coilovers, maybe 40mm drop can work.

She now pulls😳
As the engine settles in it seems to be getting better somehow
@@LMManuel given that she breathes and exhales better now it could have been the exhaust back pressure 💯
Your fox is very nice bro
Thank you so much 🤝🏼
Awe big ups so far with the build but get a branch bru
The branch that we bought was still in good condition but in time it will get changed
It sounds nice I think its time you drop it and buy 15 inch rim👌
I think it's time too
Aint no way bro you literally are near my house 😂😂😂
What are the chances😂
Nice ride! What's the name of the wheels
I forgot but I'll get back to you on that
How was to change the exsust
It took less than 3 hours to change it. It also made a massive difference on the sound and performance
What type of exhaust is this bru and how much was it??? I want it for my City golf 1.4i
55mm pipe running through 2 long boxes
Bru get a set of chico steelies, the 17's arent giving. otherwise great kontent!
Wheel change will be coming in the future
Your fox almost sound similar to my Jetta 3 cli 😁🥳❤️. Mine is just louder 🤣🤔
😂😂😂
Help me build mine
I’ve got a 1.6 1989 still mint will show you when you WhatsApp
Well to be honest bro the car doesn't exactly sound like "performance" it doesn't even pull like a "1.9"
I mean for a 1.9 with no head work done this is what you can expect. The sound comment ayy to each their own
I get that bro and what was done that makes it 1.9?
