Godsplaining is for me a reminder that Our Lord will always be with the church He founded. It's wonderful to witness the bonds of charity and friendship among these five Dominicans, rooted in devotion to Jesus and the preaching of God's word. I commend the channel to teen boys and young men who in today's America have few institutions for wholesome fraternal community, men's colleges and boys' schools having fallen from favor, colleges banning fraternities instead of guiding them in right conduct, Boy Scouts becoming boys-and-girl-scouts, public schools being slanted toward girls' achievement and behaviors, and so on. The rich rewards of religious life ought to be a draw.
I discovered Godsplaining during Advent and the Christmas that we were not allowed to go to Masshere in Vancouver BC because of Covid. It was a beautiful gift for me then and I look forward each week to Godsplaining each week✔️. You are all helping me and many others on our journey of Faith. Thank you for continuing to do this.
I so enjoy Catholic humor (such as Fr. Bonaventure's pseudonyms). Thank you, young Dominican fathers for sharing the knowledge, the insights and the joys of our faith. May the Lord bless you abundantly.
Enjoyed this episode throughly! Had it not been for Godsplaining, I would not have read Fr. Patrick’s book on St. Dominic nor Fr. Gregory’s book on Prudence. Thank you for helping to grow my faith and knowledge and all the smiles!
You are all wonderful! You remind me in all the podcasts and outreaches you do of St. Dominic. He was a preacher and cared for people just like you do. You are so clearly carry out your founder’s apostolate. You all remind me of St. Dominic just in the way that the CFR’s in NY remind me of St. Francis and are carrying out his mission to care for the poor and they do a good amount of preaching too like St. Anthony. Thank you for all you do esp for the young people.
Godsplaining to me is a sign that Christ is present in His church and also in my life - I was taught in a school managed by a Dominican parish as a child and this podcast keeps me connected to those roots of learning about the faith that were dutifully nurtured by the priests and nuns leading to me entering the church officially this year. So thank you Fathers and may God give you strength to sustain the labours of your order.
Wow! When I read bonus episode and saw that it was fairly new, I was so excited, but little did I know how much of a bonus it would be: All of you together, and even Father Jacob Bertrand smiling and kind of laughing! Such a bonus!!!!!!!! I feel like it's my birthday!❤😂 9:559:55
It is interesting to me that from the self proclaimed complainer of their group I sense a deep faith and devotion to our Lord and to said priest's vocation.
That was fun. You fellows help me to see the humor for those of us that are in Christian Education which is sometimes seen as "stuffy, and dry" among other things that will not have any relevance for the modern day Christian life. I sometimes hear, "...but sister you are fun and silly sometimes..." like God does not approve of fun and silly. I am thankful for the topics that you discuss, the brotherhood that you share, and the intellectual, albeit, humorous expression of The Faith. Happy Anniversary!
I listened start to finish❤ It was great having all of you together--so diverse in personality yet focused on what is most important Christ and His Mother 😇
WOW! 5 great Dominicans in one go! Some great memories shared! Fr Gregory, i have followed you since you were in Fribourg (especially when you did a homily at St Hyacinthe in French) ; Fr Patrick has this warm and contagious smile; Fr. Bonaventure , such a sense of humour ( a lot of banter) ; Fr Joseph-Anthony the real nice Dominican! Fr Jacob-Bertrand always enjoy listening to you on the podcasts Thank you for all that you do. May God bless you abundantly! 🙏✨️🙏✨️🙏
I always greatly appreciate the content which builds my faith and gives me a deeper understanding of our Catholic faith. And I am inspired by the faith and devotion you all exhibit.
Godsplaining retreat best I ever attended and the benefits stay. The experience and community at the June retreat refreshed my soul. I can’t wait for new episodes.
Great session. Like I said about newscasters when they do a segment on themselves: SLOW news day. Retired from 39 years of chemical engineering to playing old hymns & patriotic songs for folks in memory care and assisted living, average age 88. Thanks for the Hillbilly Thomists! Ps y'all ought to come to Carroll College and see the statue of St Thomas Aquarius on the Cathedral of St Helena.
Please, Fathers, please...if your first 3 episodes were not posted in youtube (because you werent in YT yet at that time), tell us where we can watch the first 3 episodes? I bet those are the most hilarious ones, really worth watching, one for the museum 😁 So....where are they? ☺️

Love the chit-chat and comradarrrie! (still going at 25 minutes, ha) from a regular listener in Texas 😊

Only previous exposure to Dominicans is Word to Life on Sirius XM.
What happened to St. Dominic and the Rosary? There is nothing in this 33 minute podcast about the Rosary.
Thank you for saving me the listen
What is the logo for this show? It’s beautiful, masculine, and clean. I really love it. Just wondering what animal is it?
It's the symbol of St. Dominic - a dog with a a torch in its mouth.
I’ve never seen this many Dominicans
I can’t find the boating episode?

Am I going crazy or was there no discussion of St. Dominic and the Rosary? 😂
Dear OP Friars
Grace and peace to you. Why do you hide your hands when they are not otherwise occupied?
