Ultraman Taro was aimed at kids with the fun goofy style, but then when it came to the kaiju he didn't hold back. There wasn't even a body left for those poor kaiju families.

God, Ultraman Taro episodes were usually annoying with kids running around everywhere, kinda like Gamera. The theme song kinda got old too and it seemed to kind hearted and childish to be good for me, its the worst showa Ultraman series for me. The only parts I really liked where the Birdon arc and the Temperor arc. Though, the fights were pretty entertaining and Ultraman Taro was a cool Ultra.
Sadly that's quite close to the truth; when I tried re-watching all the Ultra Series I loved from my childhood back in 2013 (to "revise" and catch up with the series while waiting for the upcoming U-Ginga) Taro's series is the one that aged the *worst*. Many episodes that seemed so awesome back when I was 8 now feels juvenile, difficult to accept, and the series kinda dropped the ball after the Tyrant episode. On the other hand, Jack and Leo's series aged pretty well and still manage to entertain :-) (Ace's series also, but that's because many violent parts of that show that freaked me out as a kid now looks mostly hillarious/wonderfully fun)
I wonder if you can buy genuine, verified Ultraman Monster Chunks? With like a little certificate telling you about the monster and episode it was from.
