Just any generic humidifier will work well for showing smoke but burning something like carboard will produce more smoke hence giving more clarity on the air flow.
Hi. Im building my own wind tunnel. Does it matter if the width and height are not the same? Im trying to make a larger one and my main tunnel is currently 24cm wide and 20cm tall. Is there a scale factor needed for the intake or should i make them even to eachother? Eg. both 22cm? Thanks!
I changed them to be 22cm wide and 22cm tall. My intake is now 52x52 cm. and i have the incline to the intake at 45degrees with a length of 21.2 cm. 15cm up and 15 cm across with the hypotenuse being 21.2cm (which is where the randomness of the number comes from). Is this intake large eniugh? proportional to what is necessary? Thanks!
@@Wolf-lb9lz Hi. The measurements I used are just what I wanted to use, you can definitely use your own, just make sure that the fan you are using has the necessary power to be able to generate enough airflow inside the tunnel itself.
@@Wolf-lb9lz I feel like you should have a large enough intake right now, as far as I can remember the length is what really makes the difference as it will make the airflow smoother, but the size of it should definitely help. Hope your project works out well ✈️
My son wants to make this for this school project. Can you please let us know what all you need to make it. Thanks
nice one. that look cheap. i will make ones because in last days i am loking all video on youtube about wind tunels and air foils. THANK YOU.
One minute you're watching Live PD, and then BOOM! Wind Tunnels.
Do you have more videos about how you made it? Such as the process, materials, and other details...
Great reference video! Thank you for sharing
Using this for my Lego f1 3 decade 6 month gen 5 version 3 car
what sort of ultrasonic humidifier were you using for the smoke

what did u use to make smoke
can u send link to buy off amazon maybe?
Hi! May i know it that’s an exhaust fan that you were using? Or just the usual electric fan. TIA!
Sorry for the late response, but the fan used was just a handheld portable fan.
May i know what materials did you use
Duct tape, Plastic Cover, straws for the diffuser, Cardboard, A cellphone for light, and a handheld fan for the airflow

And the viewing panel is up to you to decide for the dimensions
