I have seen many HK dramas in the 80s when I was a kid from my parents. The only one that stand out was this scene when the mother dressed in red about to be executed. And this song always brings me back to that memory.
guys u know why we still very miss this song since it was almost a 30 years ago? reason is because we do miss our own parents family's member friends relative who had sadly pass away
Hoi mei is so so beautiful elegant I just love her especially she smiling I was falling in love her her beauty her smart charming and I’m sure she have great personality and her acting skill this is Her best is the best
not sure why . ... when I saw this .. I cried .. missed those days in 80's and 90's .... thks TVB, brought back all the memories ... we are still guessing now .. that "red shoes" in the end scene ... belongs to his sister or carina lau ..

This is the best of HK, I remember watching this in 1989 every week in Malaysia. HK is not the same anymore since communist China took over 1997 since 2000 nothing is good !
The scene where his mother was hanged really made me upset as she was accused by a false witness. I never saw the ending and never know if he was ever punished, but I remember the son confronted him as an adult and warned him that he still remember how he killed his mother
